Our Story
Eric started sculpture and carving with wood, an an early age, primarily to help the family income in a smalltown where these skills seemed to be the genetic code.The culinary skills came later when opportunity presented itself by way of employment in a prestigious hotel, then shifting gears and went on board a cruise ship, which greatly enhanced the skills and of course, some more, but now for his own budding family.
Established a humble shop that boasts of good handicraft and woodcarvings, which further taken his skills a little bit farther, honed from experience and talent.
The move to the U.S. was gruelling for him, but that constant urge to learn more, and impart the skills to those willing to learn, made the decision for him to take that leap of faith with his wife Liezl and three children. Now a Banquet Supervisor, but still practices the art of carving fruits and vegetables into beautiful cernterpieces and occasionally does wonderful wonderful ice carvings, should the need arise.
Eriez is the brainchild of his ever searching for ways to impart the skills, to teach the craft, and provide good wholesome entertainment all around.
