Still buried in snow up here in , but the “warmer” weather coming this week has me thinking about all those spring blooms that are waiting patiently for the snow to melt.

I’ve got tulips, allium, Lily of the valley and Iris’ snuggled in and ready for spring. What’s in your garden??

Today has been a cozy, sit by the fire, watch garbage on Netflix kind of day. I’m not good at slowing down…. but it is needed sometimes. Plus I made my first …. Limes, Rosemary, Vanilla and cinnamon stick. My house smells amazing!!

I also spent some time scrolling back through all the pics and videos I took from last weekends wedding and found this gem! When given the opportunity, always do a candlelit path.

Still here! Just been living in my garden and working on projects around this place as I prep for upcoming weddings. Also, if I’m honest, it’s been really nice not worrying about IG so much….anyone else feel like it’s a chore most days?

Anyways, hope you are enjoying some sunshine and pretty flowers on this holiday weekend! We will be hosting family, finding a lake to play in, and celebrating our first 4th of July in Idaho!

It’s been a L O N G, crazy week. The house had major electrical issues Monday night, which resulted in a visit from the FD and a night sleeping in the trailer. And the rest of the week just sort of fell in line with the tone of Monday’s crazy.

Thankfully, there were a couple of bright spots to keep us going the last few day, including this editorial being featured in !!

Spring is my favorite. Until summer, then summer is my favorite. Until fall…. 😂 Florist problems. It’s so hard to pick a favorite season! What I do know is that spring and all of the life that returns to the garden is hard to beat. Especially after months of snow.

This year we are especially looking forward to spring because we will finally get to see what our new yard really looks like! Ready for all of the projects! 🚜 💪🏼 🐥 💐

The sun is shining here in our little corner of Idaho and it’s got me dreaming about all the flowers I want to grow in our new garden this spring!

I always try to incorporate at least one or two flower varieties in the brides bouquet that I grew myself. In this one for Nicole, I added Kent Beauty Oregano which is such a pretty texture for bouquets.

But first, need to do some research because we are in a totally different zone and the weather here is colder / warmer than in Western Wa.

Fall weddings are so versatile when it comes to color palette. I feel like you can go in almost any color direction and it works with the season.

Also I feel like teal is one of my life colors… I had a front door that I painted teal. I have throw pillows that have a little bit of these shades in them. One of my favorite paintings in my house also has muted tones of this blue green.

Big changes are happening over here… Big, Awesome, Scary, Crazy, Exciting changes!

We are moving to Idaho in January!

The last few months have been a whirlwind, and that’s part of the reason I’ve been so absent on Instagram. Just focused on the real life things we need to get done to make this next adventure happen.

We are so excited for this next chapter for our family and can’t wait to see what God has planned for us in this new place!

And of course, we bought a nice big project (you know, because we just finally finished this place 🤦🏻‍♀️) so if you’ve enjoyed watching us work on projects around our home here, there will be a lot more to share in the coming months!!

Kicking off the Holiday season with a fun birthday celebration last night for my mom. My brother’s bday is later this week, and then we are heading to Oregon for a Thanksgiving camp out with family.

This year the holidays feel extra special and important. We have so much to be thankful for. And we are really excited to wrap up this year and begin the next one with big adventures ahead.

Almost 2 years ago, I launched an online shop so that I could connect people with the floral design tools I love. My hope was that you would be inspired to create beauty in the midst of the chaos we were just starting to experience…

Anyone else remember jumping double Dutch as a kid? Standing at the side, waiting for the perfect moment to jump in…. Sometimes it seemed impossible to get in the rhythm so I could actually make the leap.

That’s a bit how I’ve felt about IG lately. I took some time away, then life got busy, then I liked not feeling the pressure to post, and I let go of it. I jumped out, so to speak.

Then last night I had a dream that I needed to start being present here again. It was a weird thing to dream about… But I woke up ready to jump back in. Totally random and unexpected, but I actually felt excited.

The rhythm may be different but I’m looking forward to sharing all the pretty images from this last wedding season. PLUS…I have some big news I’ll be sharing with you guys soon!!

Still on a high from last weekends wedding! Loved working with to execute the vision created by Steve Moore]. It was a really hot, but really fun day.

The floral details included lots of white flowers, herbs, grasses, succulents and air plants. It was fun working with all of these different elements and I think they came together beautifully.

Just 5 minutes from my house there is a farm where a very kind woman named Cindy grows rows and rows of dahlias and other flowers. She has a gift and her flowers are beautiful.

I met her a couple of years ago, when I was looking for some extra flowers for a wedding, and I try to make it a point to come back here every wedding season to support her business. She has a little roadside stand with bouquets and she will also let you buy buckets full that you can cut yourself.

I don’t know much about Cindy, but I do know that she works tirelessly to grow and care for these beautiful flowers so that other people can enjoy them. As do all of the farmers who grow the flowers that I use. It’s a labor of love that I am immensely thankful for, and couldn’t do my own job without.

Thank you flower farmers, your work is so appreciated!!

I’m a fan of mixing up different sizes / shapes of vases for centerpieces. This table, for example, had a couple of larger arrangements surrounded by a variety of small vases and bud vases.

It allows me to create both a full arrangement and to highlight individual stems or smaller groupings of flowers from the arrangement.

PLUS….it makes the table feel extra full of blooms, which is always the goal!

This is Connie. She’s a stunner!!!

Her color is mauve / dusty rose / blush and her shape is perfection.

I use Koko Loko roses a lot, but wanted to branch out and was needing a rose that was less lavender toned, as sometimes Koko can be. Connie’s Sandstorm, from Grace Rose Farm], was the perfect rose for my summer sunset inspired floral palette.

One of my favorite local venues, , has almost every type of backdrop a bride could want for her day.

A vineyard, a chateau, a field complete with alpacas, a white barn, a pond with a gazebo, and a forest, a tree lined drive, and a large patio with a beautiful garden.

It was so much fun shooting this editorial there last summer and I’m looking forward to more weddings there in 2022!

What an amazing, fun, and exhausting weekend!

So many flowers, so much joy and beauty and celebration. One new marriage ( congratulations !!!) and one that has stood up to 75 years of life together.

Feeling so thankful that this is what I get to do for a job. What an amazing blessing.
