What a monumental day today!! Roy and I are risk takers. We sold everything and moved to Colorado with 7 kids and endeavored to put all our eggs in one basket and buy the restaurant. Well, buying a restaurant building in a post-covid world with no other income to back it up is something lenders are not interested in. So despite the fact that we had a lot of money to put towards it, a lot of experience, great credit and shear determination, no one was interested in giving us a loan to purchase the building without a track record that our business would be successful. So today we give a huge shoutout to the amazing woman that took a chance on us and agreed to let us lease the building until we could secure the loan. She never wanted to be a landlady, but we couldn’t have asked for a better one! She has been so patient with this process and didn’t hesitate to fix things as they needed repairing. She has gone above and beyond and been so wonderful to work with. We wouldn’t be here today without her stepping out and taking a risk with us. We are forever grateful to her. Today, she signed over three decades of hard work and we are officially now the owners of 720 w Browning Ave and she gets to fully enjoy her much deserved retirement. Thank you Cindy Canty Johannes.
