57 Chevy Bel Air. While I might prefer my tri 5 chevies with their noses in the air and big ol slicks out back. That said, I’m certainly not going to turn my nose up at one with a bit less ground clearance. See what I did there? After all, everything looks better low! This one was looking legit tucking skinny whites and (craters/appliance) 5 spokes with just a hint of a tail up rake to the stance.

Hard to beat a classic Pickemup truck. Doesn’t even matter who makes it foreign or domestic if it’s a truck and it’s over 20/25 years old it’s gonna be cool. Follow the holy trinity of clean, stance, wheels and your well in your way to greatness. This fat fendered Ford is riding that Hot Rod/Custom line well. Straight body with what looked to be recently shot flat black takes care of the clean. Even on steelies and dog dish caps the stance and wide whites do the rest of the heavy lifting. Putting this deceptively mildly customized hauler well down the road to cool.

Good morning from The Lowered. The 65 is another favorite of mine. As much as I love the rear window and rear roofline. It’s the tail lights coming through bodywork above the bumper that make the 65 special to me. This bright red example tucking its hubcaps and skinny whites dep in its fenders obviously caught my eye. These 65s are also one of the few more modern vehicles I like the dual rear antenna on.

Good morning from The Lowered. This one was a real challenge to get a clean shot of. I think it was well worth the struggle. I’m a big fan of cab over and commercial style cabs on modern laid out chassis. No surprise a town like woodland with its agricultural/steel/railroad background a few of these would be around. Good morning from The Lowered. Parked at the entrance to poorboysmidnightmass this Lowrider/Vicla/socal style Hogly set the tone for the rest of the night. While I love choppers and cafe bikes but when it comes to bikes I’d actually own I’m definitely a bagger guy. And when it comes to baggers this is without a doubt my favorite build style. I couldn’t resist shooting it on the way in even if I did hold up traffic a bit.

I’m for sure a fan of the Patina rides. Well, the honest ones but I never thought I’d see that movement gain traction with the Lowrider Community. Having had cars with spendy paint jobs though never to legit Lowrider level. I can somewhat attest to the stress they generate. Always worried about parking it amongst the unwashed masses. The relief having a patina ride brings must be immense. This one had that barn find feeling nailed and it wasn’t easy walking away from such a clean survivor feeling drop top. I’d have a hard time justifying changing a thing. They are as they say, only original once and the most important parts already sorted! Tops down and She’s laid out!

This red on red on red 65 drop top had my attention. The timeline has been pushed back quite a ways for my own convertible project but that doesn’t stop me from looking for inspiration. My own convertible is Wimbledon white with red interior, white top a rare exception in my fleet. I’ve long had the idea that I’d redo the top red when I restore her and seeing this bright red top had me feeling good about that choice. It was kind of cool to see a set of skirts on this 65 as well. A pretty rare dealer option though they were available through speed shops as well. Always cool to see another Galaxie.
