The “lethal dose” test was first introduced in 1927 to determine the amount of a chemical or substance that kills 50% of a group of animals—typically rats, mice, rabbits, fish, and birds.
Nearly 100 years later, lethal dose tests are still in use despite advances in animal-free methods, causing extreme suffering and death. With the upcoming revision of the EU’s chemicals law, REACH, we have a critical opportunity to end the use of this cruel test before it turns 100—benefiting animals, people, and the environment.

The SEEDING GREATNESS FOUNDATION has organized a platform of twenty thought leaders from across the United States to present their compassionate and uplifting ideas curated for these liminal times. Steven Monahan, founder of the SEEDING GREATNESS FOUNDATION has received the TED TALK license to organize a TEDx event. The local/global event is named TEDx Dupree Park. Its theme is seeding greatness. It is being held in our home city of Woodstock, which is just outside Atlanta, Georgia.
