It's time to be thinking about entering the 59th annual talent contest. Deadline for entries is July 28, 2023.

We're excited to see what acts will perform on stage this year. Singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, novelty acts, doo w*p/ barbershop groups, musical instrumentals are all welcome.

It's fun to be on stage and appear in front of a big audience. Cash prizes are just a bonus!

Congratulation to Autumn Braxton of Crystal Lake. She was awarded 3rd place in the State Talent Competition during the Illinois Agricultural Association of Fairs annual convention. She performed Friends on the Other Side from the movie Princess and the Frog.

An 8-year-old Crystal Lake girl and a 15-year-old Cary boy will compete this January at the state talent show in Springfield after taking first in their divisions this summer at the McHenry County Fair Talent Contest.

The McHenry County Fair is pleased to announce that they will be open and operating August 3-8, 2021. The fair features 4-H projects, a queen pageant, carnival rides, grandstand entertainment featuring Kansas....and the ever popular talent contest!!!

The talent contest is held Friday, August 6, following a preliminary round of competition on Sunday, August 1.
It is open to McHenry County residents 21 years of age or younger. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three performers in both junior and senior divisions.

Harvard Milk Days also has a talent contest featuring cash prizes in four divisions. The contest will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 beginning at 6 pm. You must enter the contest online on the Harvard Milk Days website. There is no entry fee this year for the Milk Days contest.
