Miguel Zenón represents a select group of musicians who have masterfully balanced and blended the often contradictory poles of innovation and tradition! Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Miguel is widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential saxophonists and composers of his generation. ✨
Zenón has toured and/or recorded with many artists, including The SFJAZZ Collective, Charlie Haden, Fred Hersch, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, The Mingus Big Band, and many more! In 2023, he was recognized by the same organization as the Composer of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association.🎷

Pianist Reed Tetzloff came to international attention at the XV Tchaikovsky Competition, where he was dubbed "the lyric hero of the competition." (Сноб Magazine). Since his Lincoln Center concerto debut at Alice Tully Hall in 2012, he has excited audiences worldwide.
We are so pleased to welcome Reed for his Maverick Debut as he performs Gabriel Fauré and His World IV: Fauré and the Romantic Age with Ravel's Menuet Antique, Fauré's Six Impromptus, Phillip Lasser's The White Owls, Sonata for Piano (1996), and Schumann's Carnaval.

Another memorable weekend at The Maverick! 🎼 On Saturday morning, we welcomed our friends at Catskill Mountain Music Together for our free Maverick Family Saturdays.🥁🎹🎸 It was an hour filled with fun stylings of folk, blues, jazz, and world music taught through the Music Together curriculum, which is specifically for kids!Our Maverick Saturday Night saw the return of the Simon Shaheen Trio as they took their audience on yet another journey through the rich and timeless music of the Arab world! On Sunday, the Maverick Chamber Music Festival presented a sold-out performance by the @miroquartet, one of America's most celebrated and dedicated string quartets, with Daniel Ching on violin, William Fedkenheuer, @fiddlefed on violin, John Largess, @johnlargess on violin, and Joshua Gindele on cello!

Don't forget - you can also buy tickets at The Maverick Box Office, which opens one hour before each performance. These ticket options include our outdoor bench seating and the longstanding tradition of the Rock Bottom section by donation BYOC (bring your own chair)!
Student tickets are available for full-time students and may be purchased online for $10.
