We have very few dates open in 2024. After Covid we were very slow but in 2024 our weddings are back to normal.
Our year looks fantastic! Dates that are open February 24th weekend, March 30th , May 25th weekend (Memorial Day) . In September 28th weekend open, in October weekend of the 5th and weekend of the 12th and 26th open.
In November we have one weekend that is pending and that is weekend of the 9th. Will know by this weekend if it is taken or not. In December we have weekend of the 9th open, maybe 14th but is pending and 21st is also pending.
The 2024 spring open dates we will also book micro or elopement weddings. Please let me know if you may be interested in any of our open 2024 dates. I would love to give you our plantation wedding tour! Congratulations to all the newly engaged couples! We wish you many happy years in your new family lives together! ❤️❤️

We are so excited for Audrey and Ian who will be married at Desert Plantation tomorrow at sunset on a gorgeous day. The first weekend in November has always been our favorite wedding weeekend! A touch of fall in the air.
They decided on the weekend package with their rehearsal dinner tonight following their rehearsal. Just so you can see what all can be included in our weekend package. Here are a few pictures of set up of rehearsal dinner and the set up of pond ceremony site. Audrey’s Dad built the doors. More pictures to come from their awesome wedding day tomorrow.

Last winter December 25th we had 14 degree cold as heck weather. I didn’t go out of the house for about a week. I was giving an engaged couple a tour when I saw the dead as a door nail Confederate Jasmine vine. I was horrified!! So I decided to make plans what to do. Here are before and after pictures. Daryl with Fournier Landscaping did the recent work for me. Looks good but I am not finished yet! Let me know what you think!

The Angola rodeo is coming up.
We are starting to rent the upstairs that weekend which is April 21st.
There is a 2 night minimum and both rent for $150 per night.
Upstairs consist of the Isabelle and Semple suites. Both bedrooms have private baths and a joined kitchenette available.
Each sleep 4 guests with all antique furniture and private bathrooms have claw foot tubs with converted showers. Included is a continental breakfast served in the kitchenette. Consist of coffee and fixings, pastries, fruit, bottled orange juice and bottled water. Call today to reserve for your weekend!

Just got the upstairs finished except for the chair seats in kitchette. We are now renting the upstairs suites which consist of 2 20x20 luxury bedrooms (sleeps 4 guests each, or 8 combined). Each bathroom has clawfoot tubs with shower conversions. All antique furniture with 4 poster antique canopy beds. There’s a common hall with seating area as well as a new, fully stocked kitchenette that over looks the front lawn. Price is $500 per weekend for entire upstairs or $150 per suite with 2 night minimum. On 3 day weekends or holidays, 3 night minimum. Includes pool in season, decks with metal patio chairs and tables, Green Egg Grill and refrigerator at pool. For those who like to fish we do have a stocked pond near the house.
Things to do in area includes Clark Creek nature area, Tunica Hills wildlife refuge, Angola rodeo, Angola museum. Wonderful antique gift shops and restaurants in nearby St Francisville and Woodville.

We have 2 ceremony sites. The pond (which is walking distance from the house) is as old as the Desert house which was started on in 1808. The antebellum home was completed in 1812 and the oak trees are at least 214 years old. What we love about pond weddings is that you don’t have to decorate much or any at all. We set up 100 chairs and maybe add a aisle runner with several ferns and it is beautiful! I’ve added below several of our pond weddings. Contact us today for a tour!

Past or future brides... 16x20” framed or unframed canvas venue portrait prints which will be personalized with couples last name and Est date. (Example... The Smith’s-Est August 7, 2022). Also, 140 lb textured art paper prints which can be matted and used as guest sign book. Blank canvas area can be left around canvas prints that can be used for guest signage also. These will make great anniversary gifts!

Wedding artist amaze me how talented they are. The artist here is Morgan Barranco with Morgan Barranco Art who painted the wedding of Christina and Christian on May 07,2022. Morgan is so talented and does beautiful work. This is definitely a keep sake for that special day to last a life time.
