Words cannot describe how we feel right now. We would have never imagined being where we are just a few years ago. What started as a small vision, has quickly consumed our backyard.

There is no way we could do it without our family and friends. The extra help enables us to be able to do what we do.

We love our community, we love our supporters, and we love our flowers.

💥Big Announcement💥

Come see the largest dahlia selection in the area!

Join us for a garden tour! Come see how we grow our cut flowers and learn what has, and has not, worked for us. We mainly grow dahlias, but we have a lot of other cut flowers in our garden. Ask questions and see the huge variety.

If you are interested in buying dahlia tubers, you will have lots of time to go through the varieties and write down the ones you love! Seeing them in person eliminates the disappointment of buying online, growing them, and then realizing you do not love that variety after all. We have more than 1200 dahlias alone on site!!!!

After the tour is wrapped up and your wish lists are full, we are offering a you-pick. Buy a vase from us and fill it with anything in the garden.

Here is a 1 minutes video of us removing bottom leaves from the dahlias.

We remove bottom leaves to help the plant for a few reasons. The major reason is the help with air flow. Good air flow under your plants helps keep the foliage dry. If you are fortunate like us, you will have lots of rain throughout the summer. If the foliage under the plant is constantly wet, if can cause a big issue with powdery mildew. Removing old and damaged leaves also helps prevent mold issues, which can rot the stalks.

We do not always get around to removing all the spent flowers on each plant. When petals drop, they can fall on these leaves and rot too. Which can cause more mold and potential breakage of stalks.

Our method may not be like everyone elses, but it works for us. The only downfall of removing bottom leaves is some plants become less stable in the wind. With less leaves towards the bottom of the plant, it does give less support. Supporting and staking your plants is a must!

We usually attend several spring garden shows. This year, you might have noticed our sizing rings for bloom size. I do not think many people believed the actual size of the biggest ring. Well here she is! AC Great White in her prime!

We had to take a few days away from spending more than a few minutes in the garden. Its hard to see the once straight plants laying on eachother or on the ground, but we will continue on.

I took a chance to snip some rare finds tonight. Anyone who knows me (Daven) knows that I have a huge collection of "Hollyhill" dahlias. The Kennedys from Oregon operate Hollyhill Dahlias. I collect and seriously hoard the varieties they hybridize.

After seeing the amount of people hitting the like button on individual bloom pictures, I will do better at posting different varieties in the future!
