NYC-based cellist Kirsten Jermé performs a concert of works for solo cello and cello plus additional sound component at The White Room on Sunday, March 10th.

The program features Shirish Korde's Anusvara ("After Sound") for solo cello with tanpura drone, J.S. Bach's Suite No. 4 in E-flat Major for Unaccompanied Violoncello, Nathalie Joachim's Dam Mwen Yo for cello and recorded voices, and Gity Razaz's Legend of Sigh for solo cello and fixed electronics, including pre-recorded cello by Inbal Segev.

An active performer and educator in New York, Kirsten is currently a D.M.A. candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she worked with Marcy Rosen.

Thank you Redemption Rock Brewing !!!

Cool news! We've brewed a special beer to commemorate the one-year anniversary of The Poet's Cauldron - a local monthly event series that celebrates the power of poetry, music, and art at The White Room! 🎤

We've long been fans and supporters of this series, and we're delighted to introduce our collaboration: RHYME REMEDY, a white ale with tangerine peel, pink peppercorns, and alligator pepper - an earthy, herbal, and citrusy spice from West Africa. Like The Poet's Cauldron, this beer takes contributions from all over the world to create something unique and powerful.

Rhyme Remedy will be released at The Poet Cauldron's one year event this Sunday, January 21 at The White Room. This event will feature spoken word performances, live music, artwork, and more! Slow Art Day has written about our April event at The White Room. Part of our mission to elevate and showcase artists and many efforts show success over time.
