Hey! Not sure if you remember me… 👋 I’m the one who pops over here every few months to share a quick pic and let y’all know that Ampersand and I are alive and well 😅

Socially, both on Insta and IRL, I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. In addition to the usual hustle and bustle of the summer wedding season 🙃, I’ve been making some behind-the-scenes updates to Ampersand. And I’m hoping to launch those changes very, very soon

In the meantime, keep an eye on our stories—that’s where I’ll be documenting an incredible adventure in just a few weeks that I’m seriously so, so, so, so, so, so, 𝐬𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭. (H&K, how is it only two weeks from today?!! 🤯🥳)

Here’s a fun little hint: according to Tina Fey, their former governor could see Russia from her house 🤣

We’ll be at the shop from 1pm till 7pm on Wednesday for our 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 flower sale 💐

As you may know, we’re saying farewell to the retail shop to focus on weddings 🤵‍♀️

We’re beyond excited about this transition, but it’s definitely a bittersweet week 💔

Ampersand is evolving and I’m really excited about the upcoming changes. For starters, we’ve decided not to renew our lease at 5594 North High Street.

I’m going to miss this space. Like, a lot. I worked really hard to turn it into a little oasis, and my blood, sweat, and tears are here. Quite literally. Those floral shears are sharp 😝

I love this neighborhood, and I love being part of this community. I live less than a mile from the flower shop though, so I’m not going anywhere. And I’ll still be part of the Worthington business landscape 💙

Ampersand will be in its current lease until October 31, so everything will be “business as usual.” All of our events will move forward as scheduled, and we’re still accepting new venue rentals through mid-October

All of our weddings will go forward as planned as well. And the best part is that (eventually…) we’ll have more time to devote to brides and grooms. That’s one of the biggest reasons for this change: to get back to wedding planning and expand our day-of coordinating

We’ll still be doing wedding flowers too. And, for now, we’re still taking flower orders via our website. And we’re absolutely still sending out our 2022 seasonal floral subscriptions. The next delivery is on track for June 23 btw! 💐

And we’re still hosting “The Great Big Flower Sale” on the first Wednesday of every month. But now there are only 4 chances left to buy flowers by-the-stem from our walk-in, “build-your-own” Bouquet Bar. So mark your calendars for July 6, August 3, September 7, and October 5 🌸

Long story short: If you see a “FOR LEASE” sign on the window at the flower shop, it’s ok! It’s ultimately a good thing. And I’ll have more details for you all very soon in a blog post 💗

We completely SOLD OUT at today’s “Rainbow Love” celebration in Old Worthington… and, thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ll be able to increase what was donated last year to the Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization—for a grand total of $500!!! 🙌🙌🙌

Thank you to and for putting together this amazing event, and thank you to everyone who attended it, promoted it, and stopped by to make a rainbow bouquet today! 🌈🌈🌈

And thank you to those of you who simply stopped by to say hello today too!!! It was so amazing to see all of your beautiful, smiling faces—and it’s such an indescribable feeling to know that, as an LGBTQ-owned business, we have so much love and support right here in our own backyard 🥹🥹🥹

Come see us ✨THIS SUNDAY✨ at the annual Pride celebration in Old Worthington! Our Build-Your-Own-Bouquet Booth (rainbow edition 🌈) opens at NOON. We’re asking for a minimum donation of $20, and proceeds will go to BRAVO. Supplies are limited, and the flowers *will* run out, so be sure to get there early—then spend the rest of the afternoon checking out all of the amazing local shops and restaurants. And, of course, you’ll find lots of other pop-up booths and LGBTQIA+ vendors. We’re so PROUD to call Worthington our home! 🏳️‍🌈

The good news is that our Mother’s Day arrangements for pickup haven’t quite sold out yet. We even have a couple of delivery spots still open too! 🚗

Psst… Mother’s Day is only two weeks away. This is your friendly weekly reminder that we’re currently accepting orders for pickup or delivery on that Saturday, May 7 😉

But we’re taking fewer orders than in years past, so arrangements will sell out faster than usual. And the only walk-in, by-the-stem options will be at our regular monthly installment of “The Great Big Flower Sale” on May 4th 🌼
