Jade and I got a surprise delivery from Jackson & Perkins today! My Mom sent us each a rose bush. Sugar Plum and Sweet Intoxication have come to live in the cut flower patch.

I cried happy tears and FaceTimed Jade (she’s house sitting this week) so we could open it together.

I can’t wait to see them leaf out and cut a bouquet that will fill the house with that garden rose scent!

One medium market boquet and 4 of the sweetest sweet pea bouquets are headed out tomorrow to be ooooed and ahhhed over.

I really should have taken pictures before I wrapped them but I was so excited to use our just delivered logo stickers!

Is there anything better than the smell of honeysuckle? It takes me right back to my childhood. My grandmother had honeysuckle growing on a trellis at her back door. I used to pull the flowers apart to taste the nectar.

Here are this week’s Mason jar arrangements. I still have red garden roses, scarlet sweet peas, honeysuckle and Queen Anne’s lace if you want one for your table or a friend. $30

In the next few days, I expect we’ll see some LUSH velvet red garden roses from my Grandma Blakey’s rose bush, along with some apricot, a few Honey Dijon and maybe a soft pink. Message me to reserve your favorite color.

Watching old British Comedies on PBS with Mom and pricking out Indian Summer Rudbeckia babies. This is completely normal, right? Everyone does this.

Seriously though, look at how many there are. I’ll pot up some of them for a future seedling offer.

Rudbeckia is a perennial that will get 26-42 inches high with 4-6 inch blooms.

So…this guy came home with me from Walmart today. He’s ”pet me” fuzzy and purple. Swoon. My TCU heart is a flutter.

I think I may have a problem. Am I the only one? Are there meetings for this sort of thing?
