We are hearing a lot of horror stories about some venues and some caterers changing contracts at the last minute because of COVID. Things like cancelling servers, cancelling dishes rentals, changing from onsite delivery and setup to food drop off only. We recently heard from two brides who are having weddings NEXT MONTH and their caterer is pulling back because of COVID.

PART TIME WEEKEND HELP WANTED! Are you looking for a side gig making a little cash? The Penny Loafer, Inc, is looking for servers and bartenders immediately. Jobs are typically on weekends, typically weddings, and typically between 4 and 8 hours. I pay well for the industry, you can work every job or just once to give it a try. You get paid in cash at the end of the night to start, earn an equal share of tips, free food, and more. If you dig it, we'll set you up as a contractor and open the door for more opportunity.

After 5 or 6 hours of wedding reception rituals that include fireballs, chronic, and pit moshing, the LAST thing your friends and family want to do is "help" while racing the clock. Garbage, dishes, leftovers, nasty surfaces, front room, back rooms, catering boxes, chairs, tables, tents, restrooms... all while dressed to the nines while you're busy settling up with the likes of the awesome bartenders and struggling to get your gifts in the car.

And then you have to write another check at the end of the night because you didn't make your contract end time because your "help" is passed out in the bed of a pickup truck.

If you're planning a DIY wedding or event, watch those cracks! Lots of stuff slips through them and you might not notice until it's time for the toast but the glasses are nowhere to be found. Why? Many venues won't handle rental stemware. Why? The liability insurance doesn't cover it. WELL guess what? Ours does.. give us a shout and we'll seal all those cracks.... way before it's too late.

Deep fried foods is a bad idea for a Wedding Buffet and coffee is ALWAYS a great idea when you're serving alcohol! Nothing worse than soggy rangoons or having to carve your pasta.
