Love is in the air!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t in the Valentine’s spirit around here this time of year, so fresh local flowers aren’t an option just yet. But don’t worry—spring is just around the corner, and we’ve got you covered when it arrives!

This year, why not give a gift that keeps on blooming? Purchase a gift card for our Farm Stand or You-Pick field to pair with your Valentine's bouquet. Your loved one can enjoy fresh flowers now and have something beautiful to look forward to when the warmer days return!

No fondness for the cold winter weather here! 🥶 Truth be known, hibernation sounds wonderful! But making regular treks through the snow and wind to uncover and cover the snapdragons in our hoop house. A necessity if we want early blooms!

The happy news is that it's 61° in the hoop house today! So much warmer than the windy 20° temp outside. The sad and frustrating discovery is that something has devoured a lot of our ranunculus 😭😡. Soaking more corms to replant.

Signs of good things to come! Lots of fresh seeds to start when the time is right. Tiny eucalyptus seeds started yesterday. Fingers crossed for good germination 🤞. Snapdragons in the hoop house are doing well. Bring on the flowers!

This recap popped up in our photos this morning just a day after Punxsutawny Phil predicted six more weeks of winter. Perfect timing! We're ready for flowers and color. How about you?

Braved the frigid temperatures 🥶 this morning to put another layer of frost cloth on the ranunculus, snapdragons and campanula. Predicted temps in the single digits and possibly negatives the next few nights are dangerously cold. Fingers crossed 🤞 that the fabric holds the heat built up during the daylight hours!!!

Yesterday, we wandered through the snow before it all melts away, and look what we found—a little bloom still holding on! This little strawflower is such a beautiful reminder that even on the harshest days, when snow blankets the ground and the wind howls through the hills, nature always finds a way to let her beauty shine through!
