Flowers on the Hill

This recap popped up in our photos this morning just a day after Punxsutawny Phil predicted six more weeks of winter. Perfect timing! We're ready for flowers and color. How about you?

Our dahlias tubers are all dug, washed and divided! We're always amazed that one single tuber planted in May produces beautiful flowers all season and a clump of tubers that can be divided into many. We planted 5 single tubers of this variety and now have a tray full that we'll store for the winter and plant next spring. Mother Nature, you are astonishing!

It feels like a good day to post a "flowerful" reel sharing some pics of late May / early June 2024 flowers. We'll see them again in 2025. Enjoy! 😊😍

Our stand will be open tomorrow from 10 AM to 7 PM. Buckets of flowers harvested and ready for bunches!

The flower field is in full bloom just in time to celebrate the last weekend of summer! Come pick flowers with us or grab a bunch at the stand this weekend. So many colorful options to choose from!

It was a beautiful morning for Yoga in the Flowers with Yoga with Elena! Thanks to everyone that came out! If you missed it, don't worry! Our You-Pick field is officially open starting tonight. The gate will open at 5:00p - no appointment necessary today. Just stop by, cut a pitcher of flowers ($25) and enjoy the peaceful setting on the farm! Pull in the driveway by the You-Pick sign (not the flower stand) and you'll see where to go. Please arrive by 7:30p to ensure you have lots of time to pick before the sun goes down. If you can't make it tonight, we've got plenty of You-Pick, Yoga and other events coming up in the next few weeks (Yummies Ice Cream truck is coming July 28th!). With the 4th of July behind us and summer officially in full-swing, our excitment for a summer in the flowers is growing right along with the plants themselves! We've got a busy couple of weeks ahead! Yoga in the Flowers with Yoga with Elena on Sunday 7/7, subscriptions start Monday 7/8 (subscribers check your email and send us a private message if you didn't receive pickup information from us), You-Pick will be open in the next week or two and many more events are on their way! We are out harvesting flowers to keep the stand stocked today. Our You-Pick is nearly all planted and more early flowers are beginning to bloom. Watch for an announcement of our 2024 opening. Reminder that our first Yoga with Elena is June 23rd. Book now on our website.

Reminder: our stand is closed Mondays and Tuesdays to give us more time for farm tasks and family. The task today is to plant dahlia tubers. We got started Sunday. Trenches dug for 5 double rows. Dahlia tubers tucked into 7 rows. Hope the rain holds off long enough. ☺️
