There are only four nights left to see XeniaLights with the last night being New Years Eve. The Person's and the Seiter's want to Wish everyone a most Happy New Year and we hope our show brought you a few moments of joy during this Holiday Season

Now that we are in the Christmas Season, here are some tips for visiting XeniaLights:

1. Weekends are almost always busy from 5pm till about 9:30 or so.
2. The show is less busy late in the evening.
3. Weekdays are busy from 6 pm till about 8 then there is usually parking available later in the evening.
4. Mondays and Tuesdays are the least busy nights.
5. The closer you get to Christmas the busier it will be. So visit soon if you can.

The show is just under an hour long if you stay to see/hear every song. There is parking for about 15 cars with a clear view. There are another 7 to 10 spots where you can see the display but may be partially obstructed by trees or bushes.

If it is warm enough to be outside, bring a portable radio and park in any of the other parking available and walk to the lagoon to see the display.

Finally, if you are local try not to go see the display on Christmas Eve or Christmas Night. These are the two busiest nights and the park becomes a bit of a traffic jam. I know, I know, you have family in from out of town just for the day and want them to see the lights. That's fine, just realize you might have to wait to find a spot.

Finally!! After correcting some software version issues and installing our back up computer with all updates, the XeniaLights Christmas program is up and running.

Well I guess I should not have added the PS to the last update. For some reason the Christmas list won’t play. Just the music. So until we can figure what the issue is we have the Pre Christmas List playing.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope each of your lives are as blessed as mine is. Tonight we kick off the Christmas Lights show program of XeniaLights. The program is scheduled to run each evening through the end of the year from 5:00 pm to midnight. (Actually it starts at 4:00 for testing purposes but don't tell anyone,) May your Christmas season be a blessed one focused on the true meaning of Christmas.

Only four more nights to see the Halloween Light show at XeniaLights. If you've been thinking about going, it's time to get it done. Located at Shawnee Park in Xenia, Ohio, the show runs from dusk to midnight each evening. This is a free event. Our Pre-Christmas Light Show will begin November 1st. Happy Halloween everyone.

We had an electrical problem that prevented the show from starting on time tonight. We did not realize this until after 8:00 there was a problem. We had the problem corrected by 8:30 and the show ran until midnight. We apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced. When these issues arise, we try to correct them as soon as we are made aware.

Well, it was touch and go but the XeniaLIghts Halloween show is up and running. See the show nightly from dusk until midnight. The Halloween Show will run through October 31.

Wow, time flies. For those of you who pass by Shawnee Park daily, you probably have noticed that once again XeniaLights are going up at the park pavilion. Our intention this year is to have a Halloween Show nightly from dusk till midnight starting October 20th through October 31st. Starting November 1st, we will do a Pre-Christmas Show through November 22nd. Finally starting Thanksgiving evening, November 23rd, we will present our Christmas Show which will run at least till January 1st. We hope you enjoy our shows this year just as much as in past years.

Only three nights left to see XeniaLights this season. As we stated at the beginning of the season, our last show will be New years Eve, Saturday night Dec 31st. from 5pm to Midnight. So, if the weather has kept you from seeing this years show, this is your last chance to stop by. With the nice weather predicted this weekend, we will start teardown on Sunday New years Day. So on behalf of the Seiter's and the Person's, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve. Despite the cold and the wind. XeniaLights is up and operating as usual this evening. When I went by a little earlier, the streets and parking area has been plowed.

Found a really cute song to add to our show. The new song is "The Elf Song" by David Crowder. The show is just over 61 minutes long. As we go into the week before Christmas, expect parking to be at a premium. The show is much less crowded from about 9:30 to Midnight. Merry Christmas!!

Had a viewer let me know there was a problem with one of the Mega trees last night. We always appreciate the heads up when something is not working. Sure enough when I went by tonight part of the tree was out. Fortunately it turned out to be that one of the power supplies was just unplugged, so it was a quick fix.

We decided last night to start the Christmas program today instead of tomorrow. It is good we did as the scheduler had a date entered incorrectly. That has been fixed and XeniaLights Christmas program is up and running. You can watch the display every evening from 5:00 PM till Midnight from now through New Years Day. Tune to 104.1 FM to hear the music along with the lights. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all.

The display is running but one of the ground matrixes (north) is out for tonight and tomorrow due to a controller meltdown. I hope to have a new controller programmed and installed by Sunday evening.

Happy Fall everyone. It time for XeniaLights to once again light the night sky in Shawnee Park. Tonight we will kick off the Halloween season starting at dusk and running until midnight. We will run the Halloween Show from tonight through Friday November 4th. We will then run our Pre-Christmas show from Saturday November 5th through Wednesday November 23rd. Finally the Christmas show will hopefully start Thanksgiving evening and run through New years Eve. The radio station is still 104.1 FM. The Person's and Seiter's and friends are proud to once again bring this event to the community. We once again want to thank Dwayne at Xenia Tool Rental for providing the lift that is so necessary to make this show happen. Have a great season everyone.

We plan to start the tear down of the display this Saturday. So, tonight and tomorrow (Thurs & Fri) are the last two nights to see XeniaLights for this season.

With colder than normal temperatures and possible snow predicted over the next day or so, we are not planning on the tear down of the display this week so the display will be on each night through Friday night this week.

Happy New Year everyone. The light show will definitely be running tonight and tomorrow night (Saturday & Sunday). We may continue to let it run the first part of the week also as we determine a tear down date for the show. Thanks to everyone who came out this year and thanks for all of the expressions of appreciation for the show. We will be back next year as we continue the transition to Seiter Services taking over the operation of the show.

As usual we expect XeniaLights to be very busy the rest of this week especially Christmas Eve and Christmas Night. The light show runs until midnight each night and the crowd usually starts to fall off after 9:00 PM. So if you can come later, it will be easier to find a good spot to watch the show. Thanks in part to a quick response from Xenia Tool Rental in loaning us a boom lift, XeniaLights is fully operational again. The north Mega Tree was taken completely down and rebuilt. The south Mega Tree was able to be modified to work for the rest of this season without having to rebuild it completely. We hope to make a few tweaks this afternoon to some of the rest of the display before returning the boom lift. The show will continue to run nightly from 5:00 pm to midnight through the end of the year. Merry Christmas everyone.

Unfortunately XeniaLights sustained substantial damage during the storms last night with both Mega Trees needing a complete rebuild. Most other damage we can probably repair today and tomorrow. I will need to get a 30 foot lift from Xenia Tool Rental, hopefully Monday, to rebuild the tall light trees (mega trees). If the display is run tonight and tomorrow it will be without the trees.

Had a few issues with the Christmas list last night. Hopefully the glitches have all been corrected. Here is this years lineup of songs. The 20 song lineup runs about 59 minutes. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. The pre-Christmas Show continues to run nightly from 5 PM to midnight through this Wednesday night. Thursday night kicks off the Christmas Show for this year. The show is scheduled to run nightly from 5 PM to midnight until at least January 1st, 2022.

8:45 PM 11/19. As some of you have related to me , our radio quit transmitting earlier this evening. I just did a temporary repair so it is back up and running for the rest of this evening.. I will take it down tomorrow and do a more permanent repair and everything should be ok for tomorrow evening's show. Thanks for letting me know. My apologies to those who may have come out when the radio was down.
