We are thrilled to announce that Cory Loomis Photography will be relocating to Yankton over the next couple of months. We have identified a new location and are currently finalizing the paperwork. Rest assured, we will continue to serve the schools, seniors, and families as we always have, but from our new base in Yankton.

We are eagerly looking forward to photographing the 2024-25 school year for all of our past schools, including high school sports programs. We want to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our customers who have supported us over the past 9 years in Bloomfield. The move is driven by the exciting opportunities a larger market can offer.

As part of this transition, we will be rebranding as "Meridian Photo." Our new website will be meridian-photo.com, and our new phone number will be 605-655-4598. Don’t worry, our current website and phone number will remain active during this transition.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to capturing your precious moments from our new location.

We are excited to share that we will be relocating our residence and business to Yankton in the coming months. Jessy has accepted a position at the new Yankton Harbor Freight, and I will be moving the studio as well. This move to a larger community offers greater growth potential for our business.

We remain committed to supporting Bloomfield and other area schools. We will continue photographing seniors and families while gaining better access to commercial opportunities. Additionally, Cory Loomis Photography will be rebranding once we move. We will still be the same studio, just under a new name.

We are still in the process of securing a new location, so stay tuned for more details. We look forward to serving the Yankton community!

Local Photographer Joins International Non-Profit Council

(BLOOMFIELD, NE, July 1, 2024)—Professional photographer Cory Loomis of Cory Loomis Photography in Bloomfield, Nebraska was elected to the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Council for the 2024 – 2027 term. An international nonprofit association with more than 35,000 members, PPA is ultimately governed by its members through such council representatives.

PPA Councilors are professional photographers who volunteer their time and service to guide and act as the voice for their state's PPA members. Duties include discussing and voting on changes to the bylaws and the association's leadership (via the election of the Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors). They also play a crucial role in sharing the PPA message to existing, new, and prospective PPA members in their state.

Isanti Wacipi 2024

On Saturday evening, I spent a couple of hours at the Annual Isanti Wacipi in Santee. Witnessing this sacred event is always a profound experience. Next year, I hope to find a "guide" to explain the significance of the different activities, ensuring we show proper respect and avoid any unintentional offense. The culture is fascinating and offers a valuable learning opportunity.
