First of all, decision fatigue is a real thing and is very easy to get when you begin planning a wedding. So, how can you make sure to navigate without this?
We always suggest breaking your planning down into easy and small steps. Take one step at a time and don’t try to do it all in 1 month. Book one vendor category at a time. For example your photographer. Take some time to research what style you like- bright and airy or more moody? Then decide what budget you are staying within, how many hours you will need for the wedding weekend, and ask friends and vendors for recommendations. (Of course we suggest you hire a full service planner to match you with the perfect vendors- this is truly the easiest way to not get decision fatigue) And, remember to make a decision and stick with it- then move on. Don’t get stuck vacillating back and forth over it. Don’t have fomo and hesitate. The reality is, you will be happier if you make a decision and stick with it versus hesitating because of fear of booking the wrong vendor, then that perfect vendor gets booked up by someone else.
Remember, trust your vendor team, trust your gut and enjoy this engagement season you are in!! Don’t make it harder! And btw, here is your permission to go invest in the full service planner!!

Picking the perfect venue can be challenging. So many choices, how do you narrow it down?
First off, you need to have a budget and guest list together before you begin touring. You need to know how many people will be attending to make sure the space is large enough.
The budget…we see a lot of clients who book their venue before booking a planner. This can be scary because the client doesn’t know how much of the budget should go towards the venue. We often see clients being “venue poor” because they spend over 50% booking a dream venue. Then they don’t have enough left to properly pay for the remaining vendors needed. Don’t do this! Book your planner first!
Next up in selecting the perfect venue is choosing the style you love. Historical home, ballroom, tented, country club, hotel, industrial style, traditional, rural, urban…the list goes on and on.
Finally, decide on a time of year you would like to get married. Try to be open on not selecting only 1 date. Check to see if the venue offers different rates for different days of the week and times of the year. This can help make your budget go a long way!

Are you engaged and wondering how wedding planners actually plan multiple elaborate weddings all at once? We divide the planning into 3 stages: planning, design, and production. In each stage, we divide tasks out in each category even further so we don’t overwhelm our clients. Most of our full service clients are busy professionals who don’t have endless hours to research and spend behind the scenes on planning. That’s why they hire us. We have a proven strategy to plan each event (multiple at a time) and works! So, hire a planner you trust that has a strategy. Ask them how they do it, then trust them to lead the way! We promise you won’t regret it!
