Hello to our ! Did you know that the Willis House was featured in a March-April 1983 magazine article? If so, then you are a Willis House historian! 😉 The house was part of a "Historic York, PA." feature in the no longer published "Colonial Homes" magazine. Our grounds have definitely changed since then (as have a lot of things since 1983), but our history continues to grow as a venue to host celebrations. Stay tuned for the second half of our 2024 wedding season! 🥂

Hello! We would like to introduce ourselves to anyone new!

The Willis House was purchased in 2014 by Todd and Lisa Hake to transform into a venue for weddings and special events. They are both lifelong York County residents and are proud homeowners of York history.

We are a family run wedding venue with Todd and Lisa's children (and occasionally their grand-kids) frequently helping out. We hope to see you soon! 🎉

A belated Happy New Year! We celebrated (of course) with a pork and sauerkraut dinner with our family.

Looking back at 2023, it was full of fun weddings and events! Also, Todd & Lisa celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 4th. See below for some recap photos that we took in 2023.

Looking into 2024, this year will be 10 years since we have owned our piece of York County history to share with all of you! It will also be 45 years that The Willis House has been on the National Register of Historic Places.

We can't wait to celebrate with everyone in 2024!

Season's Greetings! We always cherish this time of year to enjoy the little things in life and spend time with our extended family. ❤️

A recent gift from a family member included these fun historic memorabilia items that they found at a thrift shop in Lancaster!

Before William Willis built The Willis House in 1762, he was awarded an important contract. In January of 1754, William Willis signed an agreement with York County to make the bricks and raise the walls of the original York County courthouse in which the Continental Congress met in 1777-1778. Unfortunately, the building was demolished in 1841. These items are a reminder of the significance of our role in York County history!

On another note, we still have a few dates available in June 2024 for weddings and mini-weddings. Email us to schedule a tour - we hope to see you soon!
