As October comes to a close, so does our 2024 wedding season. The Willis House owners, Todd and Lisa, and the Willis House team want to thank all of our couples, families, guests, and vendors who celebrated with us this year!!! 🎉

We are always proud to share the significant history of our venue. September 25th is the anniversary of William Willis' death, which occurred in 1801. William is buried locally in an unmarked grave, as was the custom of the time for Friends (commonly known as Quakers). He was a skilled bricklayer who migrated to York in 1754 before he designed and constructed his own home in 1762. Also, set into the brick work are glazed headers showing "WW 1762".

The historical prominence of the Willis family and the home's architecture helped the Willis House to be added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

We had a busy weekend with our Wedding Open House on Saturday and a mini-wedding on Sunday! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Open House. We look forward to seeing some of you again in the future. Also, congratulations to yesterday's couple! Thank you for choosing us to host your mini-wedding.
