Nick and Mary Mathews started with a dream.

Over time, the beloved couple built an iconic Virginia restaurant — Nick’s Seafood Pavilion — and welcomed stars like Elizabeth Taylor and John Wayne.

But their true legacy was their generosity… they donated the land that became the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.

This spring, we’re proud to present “Patrons & Patriots: The Legacy of Nick and Mary Mathews” (March 8 – July 7) in a heartfelt exhibit honoring these Greek immigrants turned American patriots.
