We’re happy to welcome the captain and crew of the Schooner Huron Jewel to Yorktown! Captain Hugh Covert and his First Mate Julie Covert are sailing on a nine-month “Dream Inspiration” goodwill tour to inspire others to do what it takes to make their dreams a reality. Having already traveled approximately 3000 nautical miles, Yorktown marks the 60th day of voyage in their quest through the Great Lakes to the Eastern Seaboard, south to Florida, the Bahamas, and back. While docked at the Riverwalk Landing Piers, they will offer FREE dockside tours today and tomorrow from 10am – 5pm. Riverwalk Landing York County, Virginia

Today's Polar Plunge at Watermen's Museum was amazing. After the plunge, cadets helped us remove the Yorktown Windmill vanes for repair, raked out 10 tons of gravel for a future storage shed build site, and install signage frames next to the Yorktown To***co Press and the Colonial Gunboat Henry.
