Join the Children's Community Showcase at The Chapel On The Green in Yorkville at "The Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration" . They will be performing at 3:00-4:00. They are excited to present "Little Match Girl" , which is a radio drama interspersed with piano and violin solos and a children's choir. This story is a tale of a poor young girl that was trying to sell matches to people on the streets to make money to keep her family warm. This is the 3 rd year the Children's choir has performed at our Christmas Celebration. You won't want to miss the Grand Finale of the day .. The YHS Madrigal Singers, Brass & Strings will be performing after the Childrens Choir from 5:00 -6:00 . Come shop at the :Sweet Shop Bake Sale " or Visit With Santa from 2:00 -5:00 pm. Our event is Free but we are asking each family to bring a non parishable food item or a pair of gloves or mittens to donate to our local food pantry. The Local Boy Scouts who meet weekly in the lower level of The Chapel On The Green will be offering up a yummy Hot Dog Lunch at The Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11:00 - 2:00. These boys and their parents are so amazing .. as they keep our chapel grass mowed during the spring and summer months and in the winter months keep our sidewalks shoveled and salted. Thank you guys ! You are so appreciated !! Plan to spend the day with us with all the different activities and entertainment from 10:00 - 6:00. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... Especially at the Chapel On The Green.. Our members are gathering to decorate our breathtaking 12 foot Christmas tree decked out in white sparkling lights, gold and white balls and handmade paper ornaments and paper chains made out of hymnal pages by our chapel members Come join us on Saturday December 13th for a fun filled day of old fashioned family holiday fun. We have all sorts of holiday entertainment, Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 2:00 -5:00, crafts and story time in lower level for kids. The local Boy Scouts are serving a yummy hot dog lunch from 11-2. Visit the "Sweet Shoppe Bake Sale" and bring home some of the yummy individual wrapped treats. The event is Free.. but we are asking each family to bring a non parishable food item or pair of gloves or mittens to donate to our local food pantry. Bring the kids to The "Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration" at The Chapel On The Green in Yorkville, IL on Saturday, December 13, 2025. from 12:00- 3:00. Enjoy story time with Katie who will be reading some of the favorite Christmas stories and there will be some fun & interesting holiday craft projects for the kids to do.
Stay for a yummy hot dog lunch being offered by our Boy Scout Troop 40 from 11:00 - 2:00. This event is free to everyone and we are asking each family to bring a non parishable food item or a pair of warm mittens or gloves to donate to our local food pantry.

Visit with Santa on Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at the Chapel On The Green in Yorkville. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there from 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Don't forget your cameras Mom. Mark your Calendars !! This Sweet Shop Bake Sale at the Chapel On The Green is not your normal bake sale that only sells cookies.. We have very unique individually packages sweet treats that make great stocking stuffers or gifts for those special teachers or mail person.. We also have yummy Treasure Breads, cookie trays, pies.. holiday fudge and candies.. We also have a fun filled day of activities such as crafts & story time for the kids.. And of course we have Santa's room decorated especially for kids to visit and have that priceless photo taken. Don't forget your camera Mom ! Come out to the Chapel On The Green's "Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration" on Saturday.December 13th . The fun starts at 10:00 am and ends at 6:00 PM. Plan to spend the day with us.. The Virtues In Motion Dance Studio will have their Holiday dancers performing at The Chapel On The Green's "Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration" on Saturday, December 13th from 2:00 -3:00 . We can't wait to see what they will surprise us with !!
