Geez almost 200 year old

This view of downtown Yorkville makes me feel so nostalgic for a simpler time. Yorkville in its Heyday in 1936 for their centennial celebration! In the Kendall County Record it’s noted that several thousand people showed up for a celebration of the 100 year old village.

Carnival rides were brought in, merchant booths, parades and history about the town was all available to who came. We are only 12 years away from the 200 year anniversary of Yorkville, I wonder if history will repeat itself and we will see another spectacular celebration!
