I will be officially shutting down my calendar as of 8/5/24 for any new catering or business opportunities.

Anyone with paid deposits for this year and next will be handled, but unfortunately it’s time to say good bye as I find a NEW HOME for my love of cooking.

Thank you everyone for all your support over the last few years, including all the hiccups, but it’s time for this chapter to closed in order for bigger and better!

needed some ME time and got in the kitchen………who needs Chipotle when you got mama in the kitchen and on the smoker to make burrito bowls?!

First off I want to thank everyone who joined us at Flight last night!

Secondly, anyone who missed picking up their orders, I will do my best to make arrangements for you to get your orders before Christmas. I am currently working all day with my cleaning biz to ensure I complete the week for those clients who made arrangements to be handled for their holiday celebrations.

Those who are still waiting on their apple tamales, I apologize we weren’t able to cook them as you saw we had zero extra hands to assist us. I will be cooking those later after I’m off work and will arrange to get those to you for your holiday celebrations.

I will do my best to get everyone handled as best as I can asap so I am able to finally get some much needed rest and to finally spend some time with my own children.

As many know, I own a house cleaning business as well, and one of my cleaning clients/new found friend had surgery the other day. Well her and her hubby planned ahead for the day and I brought their order and cleaned the house on surgery day.

She got home yesterday, and to receive this text randomly, reminded me of WHY I put so much time & effort into my cooking and I am believing more and more I’m on this earth to spread LOVE through my food. Makes my heart smile to know that I’m able to be comforting and loving just through people enjoying my food I make for them. ♥️🫶🏼😍

Good Evening Everyone who ordered salsa and tamales……

I first would like to apologize for all of the hiccups I have encountered to delay your orders I have worked so hard on for all of you.

I am coming on here not looking for sympathy as I know things happen and sometimes things happen out of our control. What I am asking for, is for all of you to show me a little grace at this exact moment. I literally had to finish up all the orders I had (over 1200 tamales) with my own two hands in the last 24 hours. My help wasn’t able to work due to a sick child and other issues. So with that, I worked all day and night yesterday and through today to get things handled for everyone.

In the rush of trying to get out I also forgot all the salsa and pumpkin spice tamales I made in the fridge at the rental kitchen I use which is now closed until Friday. So if you have salsa or pumpkin spice tamales in your order, I will refund you Friday morning when the bank is open OR I will happily deliver them to your home.

I cannot and will not answer messages while I am trying to drive and figure out the best route to get to people efficiently and in a timely manner. Unfortunately I’ve only been able to drop one order off due to the many messages I cannot catch up on while driving.

So with all of this being said. I am going to message every client directly to arrange for you to have your order tomorrow morning or to issue refunds to those who would like a refund. I need to catch up on all the messages and get addresses down so I am able to have a route that works for myself to deliver your orders. Unfortunately this time of night on black Wednesday isn’t the best time with many people out driving after drinking.

Again I cannot express how sorry I am to all of you for this unfortunate day for us all! I am extremely thankful for all of you and your support. More than you’ll ever know!

Good morning everyone!🌅

First, I’d like to personally thank each and everyone of you for the support and love you continue to show during these tamale offers!!!♥️♥️

Secondly, unfortunately I had an unexpected family emergency over the weekend that caused me to lose an entire day of working on the tamale orders and I know I won’t be able to complete everyone’s orders by 11/21 as I had planned. So I will have to unfortunately push the pickup date back to 11/22.

Third, my family will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Friday which frees me up from cooking on Thursday to be able to offer HOT AND FRESHLY COOKED orders to anyone who’d like to pick their orders up on Thanksgiving Day so they are fresh for your family’s celebration!

It is with great sadness I am making this announcement….

Due to ALOT of personal life situations, I am going to be hanging up my apron and my hat for an unknown amount of time and shutting down Mama Ks for the time being 💔

As much as I love cooking for all of you, it’s time I take a step back and concentrate on my children/granddaughter along with other situations that need my full attention at this point in time.

I’m a huge believer that when one door closes, many more open for us In order to grow into our purpose of our lives
And it’s time for me to water my garden in order to grow into bigger and better for myself, my children, and for all of my supporters!

With that being said, any events booked in 2023 with PAID deposits, I am still going to stand by my word and provide the best food for you and your guests at your event. Any events for 2024 with PAID deposits will ALSO be taken care of. (I will not be booking anymore events or doing any other specials at this time)

Again I’m not sure how long this shut down will be, but I promise to be back at it for all of you as soon as I handle my world over here; along with creating a NEW look, NEW name, NEW everything to bring back the food and salsa you all have loved for over 3years!

I want to personally thank each and every one of you for believing in me, my dream, and my love for cooking! I love all of you and you will always hold a special place in my heart ♥️

Rather than saying Goodbye, I’ll say I’ll see you all again sooner than later!
