We have a 16 acre property and need a hand getting the place looking good for the up coming season. A few hours will go a long way. YSC's outdoor bocce is held in the covered bocce pavilion located behind the main building. Outdoor league, which includes two full-size regulation courts, starts in April 28th and runs through August.

The current match schedule is:
Men: Monday & Tuesday
Women: Wednesday & Thursday

Starting Monday May 5th, weather permitting, will start the 2025 Saxon Flea Market Season. Held on Mondays from 8am-2pm, $5 per spot, first come first serve.

Looking to get rid of some stuff? Donations are also being accepted, all proceeds to benefit YSC.

Sorry folks, due to a mechanical issue the Club will be CLOSED tonight and there will be no Bingo. The YSC will be OPEN tomorrow though for your Friday night Lenten fish dinners. Stop on by tomorrow for a great meal, take out is always available as well!

The Youngstown Saxon Club offers great spaces for all varieties of events, such as: Weddings, Graduation Parties, Showers, Banquets
Class Reunions, Meetings, Birthday Parties, and more!

Available at the Club is the Merdian Room, Saxon Hall, Grand Ballroom, as well as the Lounge, grounds, and parking lots. We can accommodate anywhere from 60-450 quests indoors.

Good morning and Happy Tuesday Youngstown Saxon Club followers. On Saturday the 46th Annual Presidents Goulash Dinner was held to Honor the Saxon man and women of the year. Congratulations to Ernie Roth Sr. & Julaine Gilmartin for being 2024 Saxons of the year! Also recognized were the Saxon Clubs 40, 50, 60, and 70 year members. A big THANK YOU also to the many volunteers and Youngstown Saxon Culture Group for making this event happen each year. PROST!

Good afternoon everyone. Please enjoy the forth
installment of Youngstown Saxon Club History:

1990's - Present: The Youngstown Saxon Club remains at its present location on Meridian Rd. where we’ve been since construction. The Saxon Club offers its members an inviting atmosphere for its Wednesday night drawing, German food specials and member events. Today, the Club also has many rental options for graduations, weddings, showers and more. We have almost 20,000 square feet of function space and 16 acres of expansive grounds for members and guests to enjoy.

Good morning all, please enjoy the third
installment of Saxon Club History...the 1980's:

The 1980s brought further improvements and expansion to the Saxon Club as the ballroom was made larger, the lower lounge was added, office and meeting space was expanded. Additionally, a new, larger restaurant/bar was built to serve members. This was also the time where our outdoor bocce complex was built behind the main buildings. If you look in the upper left corner you will notice at one time the Saxon Club even had tennis courts for members to use.

Good morning all. Please enjoy Today's second installment of Saxon Club History: 1968-1980's

Once notified that Interstate 680 would be built on our Southside property, a new building committee was formed. This committee planned, raised funds and built a new building at the Saxon Acres on Meridian Rd. The main building consisted of a large ballroom with a stage for performances for Saxon events as well as for rental to the general public. Also, in this building was a private restaurant and bar for its membership.

A little Saxon Club History for your Wednesday Morning:

The Original Saxon Club was built on Franklin Ave. on Youngstown’s lower Southside. Until 1967, this building included a bar for its membership and a dance hall located on the second floor. As further progress and construction of Interstate 680 continued, it put an end to the Saxon Club’s existence on the Southside.

During this time period, the leadership of the Saxon organization had the foresight to buy property in Austintown Township. In 1941, the Youngstown Saxon Club purchased close to sixteen acres of farmland on Meridian Rd. in Austintown and opened what was called the Saxon Acres.

At that location, summer picnics, activities and dances were held as well as having an open-air wooden pavilion being constructed. This pavilion, enclosed, expanded and even recently remodeled as it remains today.
