Last week was our annual MLK Day Celebration that took place at the EMU Student Center. A truly inspiring event.

BOOK EMU is thrilled to share that the electrical training ALLIANCE has reaffirmed its commitment to the Ann Arbor area and Eastern Michigan University by signing a five-year agreement to host its annual National Training Institute (NTI).

The NTI brings together thousands of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) electrical professionals, including educators, training directors and NECA contractors, for a week-long series of courses, seminars, and networking events.

The electrical workers will split training between the facilities of Washtenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University campus.

Here are some fun stats from Eastern Michigan University's Student Center and Event Services team. During the 2023-2024 academic year the EMU Student Center has had over 480,000+ guests come through our doors and our team has set over 120,000+ chairs for various meetings, conferences, seminars, etc. Nice job, team!

In the age of 2020 and online learning/conferences, more and more of us are having to present virtually. It is a very different feeling than presenting in a large ballroom or classroom. Our staff compiled some helpful hints for your next presentation. What tips would you add to this list?
