Our last wedding of the season was a modern spin on time-honored southern traditions with hand painted blush magnolias, fragrant stock and fluffy hydrangea and the most delicate spirea. The bridal party wore on trend pocket square boutonnières and carried whimsical, fresh floral hoops. The bride chose a simple silhouette for her gown with an oversized bow that was giving all the southern belle vibes. Let’s talk about magnolias… The magnolia is a sweet, sentimental southern bloom; and it’s no wonder that it is one of the most requested flowers for Louisiana weddings. Unfortunately these gals are FUSSY, and they start to turn brown the minute you even think about picking them. But at TSP fussy does not mean that you can’t have the dream!

For wedding work we recommend using a big, creamy, white rose like Playa Blanca, paired with a delicate yellow centered spray rose and abundant real, magnolia foliage. The end result is a romantic and fragrant bouquet that gives fresh pretty vibes from ceremony till the last dance.

As a floral designer one of the comments I get most often is “oh my gosh… I bet your wedding flowers were amazing!” I always laugh because in April of 1999 being a luxury wedding florist was the furthest thing from my mind, although I did make my own bouquet. It was a simple bunch of white tulips that I picked up from Albertsons on the day before our small family wedding. While they were pretty, they were nothing like this gorgeous, intricately detailed masterpiece we made for this past spring. Her bouquet had over 40 stems of 3 different types of tulips arranged in an elegant hand tied spiral. It has been 24 years since my walk down the aisle, and I finally found the bouquet of my dreams. If I knew then what I know now this would have been “The One”

A few weeks ago we had the honor of flowering the annual Manship Theatre Red Carpet Gala. We designed several floral experiences to delight patrons and special guests. Our design plan juxtaposed the sleek modern architectural elements of The Shaw Center for the Arts with over-the-top feminine florals. The star of the evening was this luxurious installation and photo op spot to welcome guests. It became a natural spot for gathering and champagne sipping throughout the evening. 🥂🌸🤩

The vibe of the night was super lush, feminine and bohemian juxtaposed with a weathered rustic fireplace mantle and surround donated by . Hi there, it’s me, Michelle. I know. It’s been a hot minute, but I’m back! We have some new followers and flower friends so I thought I’d pop in and reintroduce myself. I recently took a long break from social media to do a little self care, actually a lot of self care! I have been recovering from carpel tunnel surgery on both hands. Can I just tell you, floral design is tough on a body! I’m doing great now though and I appreciated the time to slow down think and plan, and my rockstar team did some amazing work while I was regrouping. For our friends and fans who have been with us from the beginning, it has been almost 7 years since I made that first homecoming corsage and bout. In that time we have had two logos three websites with a fourth update coming soon! We have hundreds of weddings and events under our belt and we have likely made thousands of corsages. I count many of our brides and their families among some of my dearest friends and I still can’t believe that I get to make art for a living and that I get a front row seat to so many sentimental occasions. Thank you all who support me in this beautiful pursuit. I couldn’t do it without you ❤️
