Artist Spotlight! We're thrilled to have the Dave George Trio at the Idlewild Music Fest this year.

Dave George is a guitarist with over 30 years of performing experience. A love of mixed-genre improvisation ultimately led to the formation of Dave George Trio, with John Flowers (Leadfoot, Barndance, Idlewild South) on drums and Tim Smith (Idlewild South) on bass. Expect originals and covers from the jam and fusion worlds.

The music starts THIS FRIDAY! Make sure to get your tickets soon at the link in bio or at https://linktr.ee/idlewildmusicfest.

Artist Spotlight! We're thrilled to be welcoming Idlewild South to the farm in September. Here's a little more about the band.

IDLEWILD SOUTH, The Allman Brothers Band Tribute, was founded by keyboardist and vocalist Don Eason, a veteran musician whose initial influence of The Allman Brothers Band's live performance goes back to his first concert experience of the band on Easter Weekend of 1970, at The Winter's End Concert in Bithlo, Florida.

A duo of drummers, Robert Kintner and John Flowers provide the foundation. Slide Guitarist/Vocalist Dave George and Lead Guitarist/ Vocalist Mark Mulholland bring forth the dual guitar harmonies and searing guitar leads Duane Allman and Dickey Betts pioneered in the late 1960's. Former Dickey Betts Band Bassist Marty Privette holds down vocals and the bottom end for the band. In the tradition of The Allman Brothers Band, IDLEWILD SOUTH's live shows can exceed a staggering 3 1/2 to 4 hours in length. The set lists are different every night, drawing from The Allman Brothers Bands self-titled debut album, 2nd album Idlewild South, Live At Fillmore East, Eat A Peach, and Brothers and Sisters, all recorded between 1969 and 1974. A few select songs from their albums between 1989 and 2000 are also included. Over the years IDLEWILD SOUTH has had the privilege of having Johnny Neel (Allman Brothers Band), Bruce Katz (Gregg Allman Band), Lamar Williams, Jr. (Son of former ABB Bassist Lamar Williams) and Guitarist Chris Hicks of The Marshall Tucker Band sit in for multiple shows. All of these great musicians will continue to play with IDLEWILD SOUTH as scheduling permits.

In September of 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 IDLEWILD SOUTH has played for the Georgia Allman Brothers Band Association's annual "GABBAFEST" in Macon, Georgia, playing The Allman Brothers Band Museum, "The Big House", all 4 years, a most humbling and privileged experience. GABBAFEST is kicked off yearly by the bands "PRE-GABBA JAM" the Thursday evening of the event at the Legendary Grant's Lounge.

Artist Spotlight! Idlewild Music Fest is so excited to be welcoming Cosmic Charlie back to the stage once again. Here's a little more about the band.

Cosmic Charlie was born in the musical Mecca of Athens, Georgia. From its summer 1999 inception, the band swiftly cemented its reputation as a band that puts a unique and personal twist on the Grateful Dead catalogue. Cosmic Charlie is a Dead cover band for folks that are ambivalent about Dead cover bands.

Rather than mimicking the Dead exactly, Cosmic Charlie chooses to tap into the Dead’s energy and style as a foundation on which to build. The result is healthy balance of creativity and tradition, where both the band and its audience are taken to that familiar edge with the sense that, music is actually being MADE here tonight.

Moving and shaking even the most skeptical of Deadheads, Cosmic Charlie storms into a town and plays with an energy that eludes other bands, an energy that sometimes eluded the Dead themselves. Those precious moments during Dead jams when the synchronicity is there and all is right with the world – these are the moments that Cosmic Charlie relishes and feverishly welcomes with open arms. Clearly, Cosmic Charlie’s audiences are also eager to partake in these moments, and together with the band, they have indulged in many memorable evenings.

Artist Spotlight! In September we'll be welcoming Seven Teller to the farm for the first time. Here's a little about the band!

Seven Teller is an art-rock band created in 2021 by Baltimore musician and songwriter Sam Cochran. A blend of funk, dance, and roots music nourishes the band’s unique, immersive sound. During live performances, the group improvises between songs by adding psychedelic textures on top of upbeat rhythms. Their devoted fanbase, commonly known as “Teller Family,” travels hours to concerts, so the band tries to make each night feel more spontaneous and special than the last. There are moments too when the whole room becomes connected to the music and it feels like there is no band or audience. Moments like these are what the band strives for. Seven Teller’s new record ‘Jester’ was released on June 12th.
