Hey Friends. If you are waiting on emails from me, please know that it is going to be a bit delayed. All of St. John is without power today....pushing 7 hours now. This is the most recent non-helpful update.

I can only do so much from my phone and my phone has decided to not allow me to hotspot. This situation is far from fun. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

A week ago we said goodbye to our first fur baby, Maclee. Gosh, the pain is REAL. But how lucky we were to have him for 13 years! I tripped over him walking in to a birthday party a month after I moved to St. John and he was by my side from that day on. He saw me become a bride and then a mom to actual humans. ❤️ He greeted me every time when I arrived home, even the late nights after events. And he was the best couch snuggler. His love was one of the greatest gifts of my life. I miss him. And I will always love him. ❤️

With my job, there are so many incredible moments I get to experience. At each wedding or event I plan, I try to take a few minutes to take it all in.⁠

Through the months and sometimes years of planning...I have this amazing gift. Want to know what that gift is?!⁠

I know what your wedding day will be like. ⁠

I know that despite the stress that you may feel (or think that you need to feel because that is what some people tell you you MUST feel while planning a wedding), it is all going to be magical.⁠

I know that it is all going to go as planned-even if there is some rain in the mix. It will be the day that we talked about for months and months.⁠

And on that day, seeing the look on your face as you celebrate the next chapter in your love story is such a special gift that I get from you! Seeing true happiness and your love come to life on that day...it makes all of those months of discussions, calls and emails worth it.

Friends...I am slowly climbing out of this technology saga. I know--I sound like a broken record. I am so beyond frustrated and I hate that I am so behind on communicating with many of you.⁠
⁠
One day, things are working and I can receive and send emails and then boop--next day, not the case. ⁠
⁠
And then there is the phone situation--I have not been able to access voicemail messages left after January 9. So if you have left me a message, I have not received it. Also, fun fact--my maiden name is the recorded name on my voicemail..I cannot change it. No idea where in the depths of tech recordings that was pulled from since I have been married for over 6 years. ⁠

Whew--it's been a bit of a bumpy start to 2024 in the world of technology for me. Last week, my email (and my calendar) decided to say goodbye to my phone. I spent majority of the beginning of last week dealing with and figuring that out. The solution/migration is in process but there are a still hiccups.⁠
⁠
Friday, our lovely phone provider in the USVI sent me an alert that my phone was part of an update and to contact them if I had any issues. I contacted them and after almost 2.5 hours on hold and on a call with them, they assured me my phone was safe.⁠
⁠
Not the case---last night my phone alerted me that it has no carrier/services. Off to St. Thomas I go to see if this can be fixed.⁠
⁠
If I have had to move our call/meeting, please know that I greatly appreciate your understanding. Fingers crossed that later today, my world is back in sync, technology-wise.⁠

Full disclosure...I took advantage of the "slow" season. ⁠

Spent time with my family. ⁠
Traveled to Ireland with one of my besties.⁠
Scaled back on the office hours.⁠

It really was needed after such a busy wedding season. ⁠

This weekend, my team and I are so excited to jump back in to event mode. So many fun events in the mix over the next few days. We are ready for them and excited to get back in the event groove!⁠

Hey Friends!

If you have emailed me recently you most likely got my out-of-office.

My boys and I are in the States having all the adventures this month... visiting dinosaur parks, spending time with family, meeting new babies, shopping for school clothes. Our schedule is very exciting!

Taking this time off with them is refreshing my soul after what was Paradise Planning's busiest season to date. My dedication to clients and their events took precedent and now that time needs to go to my little fam.

Your patience with my delayed email is greatly appreciated while I soak up some Mom-time. ❤️
