Draping or Moulage is the process of manipulating a flat piece of fabric directly on a three dimensional dress form. The starting point for the developing garment design through draping can be a designer sketch or the process of draping itself. Once the draping is done the fabric is removed from dress form in order to transfer the results of draping onto paper for creating sewing patterns. The real image above is an example of our actual draping that La Sylvia Bridal is currently making on a pre-order from a bride-to-be who will get married in December of this year. After the pleating, the fabric will be removed from the mannequin to move on to other stages of production. Please look forward to seeing our upcoming finished product!

Draping hoặc Moulage là một kỹ thuật dựng mẫu/rập, trong đó nhà thiết kế sẽ sử dụng một miếng vải mộc bằng phẳng (hoặc vải chính tuỳ tính chất sản phẩm) đã được tính toán trước về kích thước, sau đó bắt đầu định vị và ghim vải trực tiếp lên mannequin (ma-nơ-canh) để phát triển cấu trúc của mẫu trang phục trong không gian ba chiều. Điểm khởi đầu cho việc Draping có thể bắt đầu từ ý tưởng trong đầu, bản phác thảo của nhà thiết kế hoặc trong chính quá trình Draping sẽ khám phá và hình thành ý tưởng mới cho trang phục. Hình ảnh minh hoạ trên đây là ví dụ về một sản phẩm thực tế mà hiện La Sylvia Bridal đang thực hiện theo đơn đặt hàng trước của một cô dâu có đám cưới vào tháng 12 năm nay. Carolina and Tim are a couple who live in Stockholm, Sweden. Although the bride is Spanish and she always wanted to get married in Marbella, a town on the Costa del Sol surrounded by hills and with wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea. In Spain we were coming out of the pandemic and for that reason the guest list was very small, making it a wedding of only 21 people.

The couple tied the knot at La Zagaleta, a truly exclusive Resort and Country Club living enviroment set within a former hunting estate that make up 900 hectares of valleys, wooded, hills and natural beauty spots in a magnificent location between mountain and sea.

Samantha and Brendan’s idyllic Kestrel Park wedding paid homage to the bride’s culture in the most beautiful way. Inspired by delicate chinoiserie patterns and the venue’s natural beauty, TOAST Santa Barbara planned a timeless affair, interwoven with personal touches and beautiful blue hues.

Inspired by her Chinese culture, Samantha and Brendan's wedding design was inspired by beautiful chinoiserie patterns. From her invitations, to her bridesmaids dresses, to her wedding china, we used shades of blue and various patterns to create an elegant and timeless wedding design.
