Gospel night at Joy Lutheran. I forgot to take a picture of the food. Smoked chicken and sausage, potato salad, twice baked potatoes, and bbq beans. Great food, great fellowship, and great music featuring Michael Knight.

Leftovers BBQ had the honor and pleasure of catering Pastor Trey Sansom’s, Joy Lutheran Church, Installation Dinner last Saturday. The menu consisted of smoked pork loin, smoked boudin stuffed pork loin, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, macaroni & cheese, and rolls.

Come out and support the Channelview FFA Showmanship Show tomorrow (Saturday, January 13th) at the fairgrounds. The show starts at 10:00 a.m. Leftovers will be there in the morning selling breakfast tacos then in the afternoon the menu is hamburgers / cheeseburgers, sausage on a bun or stick, frito pies, hot chocolate, sodas, and fudge. Come on out and support these hardworking kids - hope to see you there!

Dear Targets, Kohl’s, Walmarts, ALDIs, Home Depot , Jewel & all other stores that have self checkout.

You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now.

The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone.

I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already

🛒filled my cart
🛒emptied my cart
🛒scanned the items
🛒refilled my cart

and so I just skipped the exit line and left.

I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me “ as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store.

You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be.

• I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you.

• If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's your problem not mine.

• Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities.

YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING.

YOU DON’T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU.

Not only does Kevin cook some amazing bbq but his Cajun cooking is also delicious. Today’s menu: chicken and sausage gumbo, seafood gumbo, spicy shrimp etoufee, smoked chicken, boudoin, potato salad, rice, crab dip, crackers, and spicy oyster crackers. Huge success for Daddy’s 80th surprise birthday party.

What an awesome event we had the pleasure to participate in — Channelview FFA Fair 2023. Leftovers thanks everyone and appreciates you all. Again, we cannot stress enough how polite and kind these kids were and all the people. A huge shout out to everyone involved in putting this event together — it was awesome! It brought back many memories from when Kevin and I were in school involved in showing animals. It was great seeing so many that we attended school with back in the day. Thanks again everyone, and God willing we hope to be back next year.

Last day of the Channelview FFA Fair so come on out and support these kids. They all have done an amazing job this year. Chili cook off this morning, parade starts at 10:00, and the auction is this afternoon.

I must say it’s been a pleasure being out here these last few days. These are some of the most polite kids ever. These parents, grandparents, and teachers are doing an amazing job with these kiddos.

Come out to the Channelview FFA Fair to support the kids showing their animals this week and while your there grab yourself some bbq. Kevin has been cooking up a storm for Frankie and Alex’s Baby Gender Reveal party since yesterday. Oh we are so excited to find out if we will be welcoming a little boy or girl to the family. 😊😊😊

Kevin is team ”no nuts”. I am team “nuts”. But most importantly boy or girl we are praying for a healthy baby who is already loved beyond words.

Leftovers is at again — Cooking for a benefit this weekend. If you’re out and about Sunday afternoon stop by Kenny and Carrie’s Auction in New Caney and support the benefit for Joe. Joe is a seven year old boy fighting for his life at Texas Children’s Hospital.
