Splash Town Games is by its very nature, transforming and recreating itself in perpetuity. We are guided by our client's wants, whims, and needs. Our clients are 8 years old so we are working on a full complement of "safe foods," for kids. What better way to do that than with Waffle Cakes (Gnome Cakes), friend candy bars, and Funnel Cake!

Thank you Connecticut Renaissance Festival. What a wonderful season it turned out to be. Many games were played and even more prizes than ever were won! Family enrichment was had by all!

Some folks got to try Hot Boiled Peanuts for the first time here in New England at our new walking snacks stand and others got a little taste of being back in the south.

With peanuts come other nuts and before long we had:

Cinnamon Roasted Almonds
Butter Rum Peanuts
White Chocolate Cashews
Dill Pickle Peanuts
Buffalo Peanuts
Toffee Mixed Nuts
and Smoke House Almonds!

Next year we will be back with a full praline kitchen and many more flavors to try.

Splash Town Games takes on its first-ever employee. With family owned and run businesses, it can be hard to accept that you need help. The fact of the matter was that patrons were not quite getting the full attention to fully experience the family enrichment experience that Splash Town Games are designed for.

Fay, our first hire pictured below, is amazing. She connects with the littles, leaving them satisfied and uplifted no matter the outcome of the game. She puts her whole self into the interaction and has deep empathy for our patrons.

Letter From Home

Our season is heating up. We have applications out doing shows from here to Michigan, to Florida, to Texas, and North Carolina. In the long run, we are looking at building Splash Town gaming Coves with a full-size Medieval arcade stuffed inside, and snacks.

We are working on renders for a trailer-mounted rig. News to follow.

Splash Town Games is a fresh and fun gaming and entertainment service. We provide exciting, hand-made games for children and families. We design our games around fluid dynamics - floating targets on little ponds and rivers. It makes for exciting, unpredictable, and enhanced gameplay. Splash Town Games are intentionally engineered to be doable for all ages and at all skill levels. In fact, they are made to be easier than they look, complement your skills, and call you a Lucky Ducky.

Pond Pong

Pond pong is a ping pong ball game adapted from the popular college drinking game, Pong, and taken to the next level. Instead of solo cups at the end of a ping pong table, Pond Pong uses floating targets in a small-scale pond at the end of the table.

Gnome Rescue

Gnome Rescue is also a ping pong ball game with moving targets that float along an oval river. A single water pump submerged under the river moves the water and targets around. The fiberglass environment and targets create a fun bounce-around effect which increases the shooter's chances of settling into a target.

Frog Avenue

Frog Avenue is a mashup of Corn Hole, Horseshoes, and Shuffleboard reimagined on water and with lily pads or targets and frogs. In this game, kids try to land their rubber frogs onto lily pads to earn points. The farther the lily pad, the higher the points. Frog Avenue is extra exciting because a player must be careful not to knock off their frogs with the next toss and/or they can double their score by landing on two lily pads at once.

Fairs, festivals, and municipal events

Our primary target market at public events is families with 3 - 10-year-old kids who are out looking for something fun that the little ones can do. The 3 - 10 age group bodies and athletic abilities are in various stages of development. Kids are self-conscious about that, as are their parents. When games look harder than they are kids get immensely proud of themselves when they can do them, as do their parents.

From the profitability standpoint, our customer base grew to include the 10–16-year-old kids after they saw that their younger siblings were winning and getting prizes. A fair number of older teens and adults play as well, more than we expected. Our potential goes beyond our target audience. Most kids do not want you to put the fish on the hook for them, but they do not want you to glue the fish’s mouth shut either. People want fairness.

The statistical probability for hitting targets can be altered by changing the size of the target, the texture of the leading edge and bottom of the target, the frequency of targets, the distance from the targets to the player, and, in the case of bounce-around games, the structure of game’s deflective environment.

One of the major takeaways from the launch was how uplifting it was for my wife and I to work with grateful customers all day. Not all Customer Service experiences are like that. We are confident that customer gratitude will be a critical component to keeping high-value employees and providing a positive life experience for those employees along the way.

The entertainment aspect of Splash Town Games is positive, organic, and contagious. Our Gamers are instructed to coach, encourage, and cheer on every player. This generates an opportunity for the family to get in on the cheerleading, and that often leads to other, random people gathering in support of the family. Before you know it a five-year-old is commanding a cheering crowd. There is nothing more contagious than the support of children trying to overcome challenges. Our presence at fairs, festivals, and municipal events is noisy and jovial. Kids come running across the fields to see what all the fuss and celebration is about.

Party rental events

The party rental side of Splash Town Games is remarkably interesting and exciting. We would be stepping into the massive inflatables, bouncy house, and wedding party rental industries with a fresh and direct alternative. We simply deliver the arcade, set it up, and collect it after the event. We will include tournament-style scoreboards and extra balls etc. There is an opportunity for add-on sales to create custom, event-specific prizes for the kids to win.

The dreamy, dream of a wedding is a vision of close friends and family having an entire day to spend with each other in a time capsule of sweetness, hope, and beauty. With five years’ experience catering weddings I know how sad it is for the hosts when people leave early. Often, it’s because there is nothing to do after the meal but dance and chat. Meanwhile, the little ones get restless and inconsolable in their itchy Sunday bests, and they need something to do. A lot of good times have happened around a game of Horseshoes or Co****le etc. and wouldn’t it be nice to have some games that the little ones can play with adults on equal footing? We think so.

We are working on, "Mega Flower," for our Pond Pong game. It was just a little too challenging. So, now Mega Flower will fill the space between the smaller flowers, be a giant target, and add more possibility to the addicting bounce-around effect.

Our many thanks go to the good people putting on the Sparta Renaissance Festival (https://www.facebook.com/spartanjrenfaire/) in Sparta, New Jersey. They gave us the opportunity to establish our game's entertain our first happy customer. Pretty exciting!

We had an amazing time on our first weekend together working as a family, with our new family, and camping on the beautiful, storied camp Sacagawea. Honestly, we had no idea how beautiful and unspoiled New Jersey is.

We look forward to next weekend for more fun and merriment! See you there!

Final details on the rims of the river cups. Working to improve the catch rate.

After testing a few different caulk brands this standard Home Depot caulk has proven to be the most rubbery when dry. It produces the perfect bounce dampening affect to help catch the balls.

The perfect first show, Sparta Renaissance Festival! Just the right size and level for us to get our games tested and tight.

Weekends: September 11, 12, and 18, 19.

We did our dry setup and takedown today. Some cabinet work needs to be done for increased functionality. Otherwise, we are ready for action.

The kids tested the games and they couldn't be happier. Aden (12) said that he, "lives for the sound of ping pong balls bouncing around. It's so exciting!" He likes Pong Pong and Gnome Rescue for different reasons.

Thea and Zoe (10 and 5) like Frog Avenue best they said, "because 'kids' can always score points." Zoe also likes Frog Avenue because "the frogs are cute and easy to throw." Ping pong balls require fine pincer skills she just doesn't have yet, but big kids do.

We fine-tuned our targets to be NOT a matter of "if" players can hit the targets but "how many" targets they can hit in a turn. We believe that every accomplishment should be recorded and rewarded. This philosophy leads us back to the basic framework of a traditional ski-ball arcade, but generous.

For us, as a family, we want to do stuff and be places. These days outdoors is the safest way to do it. So we built a company around having fun outdoors.

Splash Town Games LLC is a handmade gaming company providing games for concerts, festivals, and private events. Our games are designed to create the maximum game playing experience with just the right amount of challenge.

Our kids love them and they don't love anything that is not on their tablets these days. The idea for making water-based games is to compete with video games. The fluid, unpredictable motion that water creates generates challenge and excitement.
We are applying to several events around Massachusetts and we hope to see you soon.
