‼ALOHA‼ As we all know, Maui has been devastated by Wildfires and needs our help! 🌺 Put on your best Hawaiian attire, and join us September 17, 2023 at Plymouth Memorial Hall from 12-6pm, for a day of "Music for Maui." We currently have four tribute bands scheduled. Our headliner will be "Shot of Poison" (Poison tribute), "Gunpowder & Lead" (70's & 80's Cover Band) will open, followed by "Nightshade & Gold" (Stevie Nicks tribute), and "Pink Houses" (John Mellancamp tribute). There will be a 50/50 raffle, fun food, multiple ca$h bars, and much more! Please join us in raising as much money as possible to help the Lahaina community. It feels like I’m beating a dead horse, but here goes again. If you take the time to drive to a live music venue and act surprised or complain about a cover charge for the live band maybe we’re not the place for you.

Here’s why: We invested a TON of money into the best sound system. We hire the BEST entertainment possible and try to offer something that no one else locally can offer. That costs money. There’s an old saying that goes something like this: “Good bands aren’t cheap and cheap bands aren’t good.”

The average price of a concert ticket is over $118. Add parking, overpriced food and drinks at the venue and you’re spending over $200 to eat a hot dog and have a couple of $18 beers.

We hire a door person, multiple security personnel, sound and lighting techs, bartenders, bar backs, kitchen staff and a cleaning crew all to put on a great show for usually a $5-7 cover. We also pay our bands better than anyone. (You can ask them!)

This costs a lot of money. We wouldn’t be able to afford to hire great entertainment if we had no cover. There are plenty of other places that offer that. We don’t. Plus, we have VERY REASONABLE drink and food prices. If we didn’t do a cover we’d have to raise our prices. In Massachusetts we can’t raise prices unless we do it for a whole week so that’s out of the question.

So please, if you want free live music on weekends we’re not the place for you. Yelling at the door person or asking for the owner for a $5? You should be embarrassed. I wouldn’t ever ask anyone for anything free at their place of business.

Imagine walking in the movie theater and saying “What? I need a ticket? But I’m buying candy and drinks. Where’s the owner?” Sounds ridiculous right? We deal with it every weekend.

Personally I’d be embarrassed if I was with someone who did this and would never go anywhere with them again.

Our staff works hard to provide a clean and safe place for all to enjoy themselves. We spend a lot of time trying to improve the customer experience and ensure that everyone has a great time and and feels comfortable. We also work hard to get a variety of amazing shows for you to enjoy. We hope this helps those of you who don’t understand how this all works.
