IN THE BEGINNING......
I first had the idea of setting up my own business making wedding favours after I made some table favours for my Grandparents Golden (60th) Wedding Anniversary Tea party back in 2005. I made Handbag favours for the Ladies and Tuxedo favours for the Gentlemen. I decorated them with Gold satin flowers and ribbons. I filled them with the traditional 5 sugared almonds wrapped i
n Golden coloured tissue paper. To my surprise, everyone admired them and I received lovely feedback. Resultant from this relatively small Tea party I was asked if I would make one couples Wedding favours for their special day. During the past 10 years I have been making handmade favours for family and friends. I have also made Christmas favours and sold them at local fayres and bazaars. But I've finally taken the plunge to set up Family Favours as a business. I have named my business in memory of my Grandparents Golden Wedding Anniversary Tea Party.
