March 2th 2012 will be the day that a collection of up and coming local bands will perform to fans, new faces and other musicians alike for a day Recording in NSP studios in Maidstone under supervision of experienced engineer and producer Graham Waller. This is a truly great chance for all bands wanting not only the chance to be part of an amazing evening, but a great chance to get some tracks rec
orded to start giving out to venues and labels. How the night works:
- The bands will start playing from 5.30pm, each with an alotted set time.
- The bands can play a mixture of covers and originals.
- When an attendant buys a ticket, whether presale or on the door, they then aquire one VOTE. With this VOTE, they can choose to vote for which ever band they feel has made an impression on them.
- VOTES are then placed in the box belonging to that band.
- After all the bands have performed, VOTES are counted while 'The Great Gatsby' play a set.
- The winning band is announced and they come on to perform one more number to close the event. Tickets are £5. There will be parking available in the college car park. Food and drink will be supplied. However, please note, this is a DRY BAR event and no alcohol will be sold on site. There are several pubs near the College that will be great for after the show. More details will be announced nearer the time.
