Mind Dance returns on Friday September 1st! with a VERY special evening planned for you at …

We’re ecstatic to welcome to the SJQ basement. The New Delhi artist has releases on on the seminal imprint Accidental Records and is really exciting emerging artist.
On the ones and twos we’ve got one of my favourite selectors. head honcho: the who will be bringing his killer and diverse selection.
Usual basement urchin residents a will be playing some tunes too aswell.

Mind Dance 15 is this Saturday! 🧠

We’ve got a very special line up to bring in the summer at ☀️

Headlining will be the one and only . Fresh off a sold out U.K. tour, he’ll be bringing his captivating indie-jazz-blues sound to the Bradbury St basement for a special live set…

We also welcome the amazing to the basement. They’ll performing their mesmerising lo-fi, DIY goodness in another live set we’re very excited about.

On deck duties we have the brilliant . She’ll be spinning dance floor fizzers in the SJQ booth to get you grooving. We can’t wait to welcome her.

Mind Dance residents myself and (and later in the evening ) will also be on hand, playing records throughout the night.

Mind Dance 14 is upon us!

This sat at we present the return of one favourite and the debut of another…We’re excited to welcome back our seriously funky uncle, the one and only . He blew SJQ away with his electrifying, fonky-ass live set at Mind Dance last year, and we’ve been looking forward to having him back ever since. His drippin-trippin raunchiness is unlike much else in the U.K. scene right now and is not to be missed…
Joining him from the DJ booth we welcome illustrious hip hop producer . Formerly known as Nicholas, he co-hosted radio with fellow U.K. hip hop production don Jetsun. Naturally, a killer beat-maker must boast a tasty vinyl collection of hefty depths, and Niq is bringing along a selection from his crates spanning funk, rare groove, soul, disco, and of course a bit of rap. We can’t wait to have him tear up the basement.

Mind Dance residents and myself will be deejaying too

This Friday it's at once again.

Helping us throw the illest Paddy's Day evening in town will be our live headliners , with their grooving, globe-and-genre crossing sound. Their music is a melting pot, just like their London home, blending intricate vocal harmonies, Latin rhythms, Morricone-esque soundscapes and more influences from the band members' native Argentina, France, Italy and beyond.

Supporting them will be Citrus ( on mk & co), who we welcome back after their hypnotic set at January's event. We're looking forward to their captivating krauty psychedelia returning, and hear they've got a bit of hip-hop in the tank this time around too...
On the decks, our DJ headliner is the incredible . Host of Low Key and Local, one of the finest shows on . She's bringing down a bag full of fizzers for the dance floor.

We’re back for 11 this Saturday!

We welcome two of our favourites to this weekend. return after their captivating show in September, bringing their spiritual jazz-folk sound to the SJQ basement. On the decks, jetting in from Milan, we have the mighty who’ll be gracing your ears with a special folk set of Southern European sounds. Residents myself and & are thrown in as well for good measure.
