The Scott Valley Songwriter Festival is designed to celebrate local songwriters from Siskiyou County and to offer an opportunity to perform before a supportive audience at the beautiful Avery Theatre in Etna, CA, which is known for it's highly artistic community. While the festival is not a competition, special awards will be given to the songwriters with the two highest overall scores. Winners will have the opportunity to perform a paid 30 minute set at either the Mount Shasta July 4th-6th downtown Festival on the grandstand, or Siskiyou Arts Council's Art on the Block and Eco Art Festival August 3rd.
