Hiring a DJ can be a difficult task, and with any professional service, a little expensive. So hire someone who is upfront and lets you know what you're buying. Here are some very FAQ for my services, any other questions, just ask. Q: How long will you play for? A:I charge $95/hour with 4 hour minimum,every hour after 4 is $75/hour. Q:Do you have your own equipment? A:Yes, all equipment is mine, and is very well maintained. Q: Should we make a playlist for the reception? A:I tell all my my clients when we meet to come with a list of songs, they like, want, etc. I then compile a playlist, I love suggestions, its YOUR day
Q:Can people request songs? A: Yes, i take requests as long as they fit in the guidelines of what the bride/groom want, also I might not play them, as soon as I get them, due to the speed or the flow. Q:Can we make a "no list," as in certain songs not be played? A:Like the chicken dance and such. Of course, we all have songs we just hate, and I will make a NO PLAY LIST, even if requested. Q:Will you MC it and have a microphone for speeches and such? A:Yes, I MC anything and everything you need, other than being good with music, I talk for a living, so I'm comfortable on a mic. Q:Finally lighting, is that a part of the package? A: Yes, all lights, music, and MCing is ALL included in any package. Q: How much experience do you have? A: Well aside from DJing part time, I'm a full-time radio personality for a group of radio stations in Indiana, but as far as private functions; I've DJ'd at least a dozen weddings, and lots of other parties, get togethers and such. Plus I'm the official DJ for the Dire Skates Roller Derby team, and I've DJ'd the Richmond Meltdown for two years, and for MCing, I've been the stadium announcer for Richmond, Seton and Earlham baseball teams, and will be serving this season as an on-field announcer for the Richmond RiverRats.
