Rachel and Lynzee got married! They had a beautiful day surrounded with all of their closest and supportive family and friends and I am so glad I got to be there to capture it.

I've written this post 15 times over. The thing I keep coming back to is Janelle's laugh. I look at these pictures and I hear it. It was like wildfire: starting strong, spreading quickly, and impacting everyone around her. Now grief is impacting everyone just as hard.
It is a bittersweet feeling to capture moments in time during someone's life, and then come fully appreciate the beauty in them after their passing.

Before Maleah's first look with her dad, he prayed and cried for 30 minutes, hoping that he could hold back his tears when he saw her.
He couldn't, and it was perfect. The outpouring of love they had for each other made this image one of my favorites from the entire day. ❤

The Hopkins Family! Luke turns 3 this fall so after we grabbed a few family pictures, we make sure to let him play with his diggers.

Rachel & Lynzee are engaged!
We chose this day for their engagement pictures before the leaves started changing, knowing that it might be 70 and it might be 40. There may be leaves and there may not be. (We never know around here, but neither do the weather folks)
Well, we lucked out with the perfect weather, perfect trees, and had a blast trying to convince Lynzee that she was, in fact, having fun. 😏💁♀️

Golden hour (the hour leading up to sunset) is the best time of the day!
It's the moment that a lot of couples look forward to, and it's without a doubt my favorite part of the day too.
It's a time to take in the fact that the couple just got MARRIED.
It's a moment away from the noise and celebration for the couple to just hold each other and relax; to share in a moment that they will remember forever.

The Krause crew comes back to me every year and I feel so lucky and humbled that they choose to continue to work with me each time! I think collectively the boys have grown over a foot since I last saw them.

I will always encourage your littles to explore nature during our session. It makes for a quick break from photos and allows me to capture them in their own space of curiosity and comfort. 😊

Toni and Dusty's wedding day was special. I know everyone says that a wedding day is special, but this was special in a different way. From the very beginning it was evident that Toni is so loved by her friends. They put together a book of photos and letters, expressing their love and excitement for her as she enters this next chapter of life.
During the ceremony, the pastor didn't do a traditional sermon, but rather, he read lists that Toni and Dusty had created at the beginning of their pre-marital counseling. The lists contained each of their 10 favorite things about the other.
To finish off the night, golden hour was absolutely breathtaking. This time was important to Toni, and I wanted to make sure they could enjoy it without feeling stressed. We took time for Dusty and Toni to just "be" and relax together for awhile.
