Public Announcement:
Dear Ruby’s clients and patrons
Our electricity at our kitchens has been off since yesterday due to loadshedding.
We have tried our very best to communicate with eskom as they are working on the problem. They did however let us know that loadshedding would continue till next Thursday.
These are circumstances that was unforeseen and is out of our control.
We’ve also tried to get a generator to solve the problem but unfortunately our outage does not take the strong generator outage in our kitchens.
We have tried our level best to sort out this matter but unfortunately did not succeed.
At all times we do our level best to be transparent with all our clients and we are so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Load-shedding Update: 8 October

Eskom has informed the City that load-shedding Stage 2 must be implemented non-stop from tonight at 21:00 until 05:00 on Thursday 14 October.

The City will protect customers as much as it can.

Tonight
City-supplied customers: Stage 2 from 22:00 to 06:00
Stage 1 from 06:00 until 22:00, then back to Stage 2.

This is broadly expected to be the routine until Thursday.

Any changes or updates will be communicated as soon as possible.

Tips
• Keep devices charged.
• Switch off non-essential electrical appliances to avoid nuisance tripping or damage from power surges.
• Let us know if your power stays off for longer than the load-shedding schedule. Service requests may increase due to load-shedding.
