Meriete-aand

Wat ’n voorreg was dit om die blommerangskikkings vir 2023 se meriete-aand te kon doen.

Dit is vir my altyd ’n eer om deel te wees van skoolaktiwiteite, maar hierdie een was beslis die hoogtepunt. Ek het soveel pret gehad om met die blomme te werk en almal se idees saam te bring in iets besonders.

Die eerste keer wat ek julle ontmoet het, was tydens 'n funksie vir minderbevoorregte kinders, waar ons saam planne gemaak het om die prente van Jesus se geboorte regop te laat staan. Daardie dag het ek gesien hoeveel geduld en samewerking julle twee het.

Toe ek die voorreg kry om julle troue te kon beplan en opmaak, was ek opgewonde soos ’n kind met ’n geskenkie. Wilcha, jou idees was sag en uniek, en jy was so geduldig en dankbaar. Ek het die troue saam met julle geniet en het net so emosioneel geraak, want julle liefde vir mekaar is opreg.

Nou, met die kleinding wat oppad is, deel ons julle opgewondenheid. Familie en saamstaan is wat julle verteenwoordig, en ek waardeer die pragtige waarde wat dit in die lewe bring.

Mag julle blou voetjie, soos julle troudag, net die begin wees van ’n nuwe fase vol seëninge.

Van die eerste dag wat ek jou ontmoet het, het jy my opgeval as hierdie sprankelende vrou, binne en buite. Jy was so maklik en gemaklik oor wat jy wou hê vir jou droomdag, wat dit vir my soveel vreugde gegee het om kreatief met jou idee te werk.

Dit was 'n groot voorreg om te help om jou sprokiesverhaal waar te maak. Jy en Peter is 'n ongelooflike oulike en spontane paartjie. Mag julle vir altyd so liefdevol en speels met mekaar wees, selfs tot in julle oudag. Julle is 'n ware voorbeeld vir ons almal.

Dit was ’n ongelooflike voorreg om die blomme vir julle troue te kon doen. Van die oomblik dat ek jou ontmoet het, Zané, het ek geweet ek staan voor ’n pragtige bruid. Jou liefde vir blomme en jou visie om proteas, pienk rose en vetplante te kombineer, het my baie opgewonde gemaak. Ek kon nie help om te glimlag toe Henry bekommerd raak dat alles dalk net pienk sou wees nie!

Julle is ’n besonderse paartjie, en ek wens vir julle ’n lewe vol liefde wat blom en groei, net soos op julle spesiale dag.

Hierdie week vier julle 9 maande van huweliksgeluk. Toe MJ kom en sê hy wil graag vir jou blomme gee, was ek so opgewonde om weer iets besonders vir jou te skep. Toe jou pa vra: "Van watter kleur hou jy, en wat is jou gunsteling blom?", het MJ sonder twyfel geantwoord: "Pienk en angeliere, pa!"

Woorde kan nie beskryf hoe geëerd ek was om deel te kon wees van jou droomdag nie. Jou blomme het ek ontwerp soos ek jou sien: ’n angelier vir jou sagte hart, pienk vir die pragtige dogtertjie binne jou, en baby's-breath vir jou persoonlikheid wat mense om jou trek en altyd meer laat wil hê.

MJ, ek wil ook vir jou sê dat jy dadelik vir my gewys het jy is ’n ware mense-mens, soos ’n bloekomblaar—altyd gereed om in te spring en te help. Die dag voor julle troue het ek verstaan hoekom Hes-Mari jou gekies het: jy is oulik, en jy dra haar met soveel liefde en respek op jou hande.

Mag hierdie 9 maande van geluk net die begin wees van 9 x 9 jaar saam vol liefde en vreugde.

Hello, my name is Alicia Joubert, and I am the proud owner of a small flower shop in Bethal, Mpumalanga.

My passions in life are my family and experiencing the beauty of nature in its true form. I am a proud mother of four beautiful children – two sons and two daughters – and I have a wonderful husband by my side.

Together with my husband, we run a pawn shop, a jumping castle business, and several other ventures. Three years ago, he challenged me with 20 loose proteas and told me to try and sell them. Those 20 proteas quickly grew into bouquets of proteas, and with the encouragement of the public, I began selling fresh flowers.

Just over a year ago, I opened my own small flower shop, Protea Land, next to our other business. Initially, it was just to keep myself busy while still focusing on our main business. But within a year, the Lord blessed my shop so much that it became a full-time venture.

I never thought that this business would become my passion in life, or rather, my purpose.

Here in 2024, I am proud to welcome you to Protea Land – a flower shop and small nursery where you can get the freshest flowers or a lovely plant for your garden.

My dream is that one day, one of my daughters will take over this business and continue to bring joy to others with love and warmth.

I strive to build a personal connection with every client and remember what they love and appreciate. I share in every significant life event of my clients – from births and birthdays to weddings, anniversaries, and even times of sadness. We experience these moments together.

Every bouquet, arrangement, and gift I create is made with pride and love. I aim to be original and unique in everything I do.

To all my clients, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for your support, big or small. Thank you for believing in me and making Protea Land a symbol of hope and love.
