As the Free State Arts Festival approaches, André Schwartz is set to captivate the audience in Bloemfontein with his heartfelt and personal production, "Any Dream Will Do - My Pad met Webber." This year, André is not just bringing his extraordinary talent but also shining a spotlight on the local musicians who will accompany him on stage.

Levante du Preez, a gifted pianist, and Peter Cleff, a remarkable guitarist, both hailing from Bloemfontein, will join André in this unique performance. “Why bring people all the way from Cape Town, when Bloemfontein has some of the best musicians in the world?” Andre mentioned.

André's production is more than a show; it's a celebration of dreams, resilience, and the transformative power of music. By integrating local musicians, André aims to create an intimate connection with the audience, bringing joy and inspiration to the heart of Bloemfontein.

INTRODUCING OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR 🤩🎵

Heinrich Lategan is a talented, all round, musician, arranger, orchestrator, conductor, music director and not to mention all the instruments he plays! 🥁🤩 Born and raised in Bloemfontein, Heinrich quickly discovered his love for music and went on to study music at the Odeion School of Music. Graduating, Heinrich dived into a deeper range of music and genres and began arranging and orchestrating music while also being one of the best percussionists in Bloemfontein. Later years, Heinrich also began his career as a conductor and is now the head conductor for The Rhapsody Orchestra, a music collective that he also founded.

All his skills are combined on the stage for Bloem In Concert this year with his arrangements featuring, as well as his musical and conducting skills! 😁
