What Wedding Flowers Cost South Africa

this IS a greenery runner or garland - it is foliage that has been wired together to make a long stretch of foliage in a single piece - it can be adjusted into shape and can hang off the end of a table, because it has been made this way.

it will not lose it's shape or position as it has mechanics inside it to ensure this

this can be made beforehand, but is labour intensive to make well.
Foliage is NOT FREE and so it does not cost next to nothing in addition to the time it takes to make it properly.

this one has no flowers in it - as there is no water source for the flowers, so again the greenery needs to be able to last out of water.

It has a certain depth to it, depending on the type and volume of foliage used - in this case, a single variety of smallish foliage, so the volume is not huge.

this one HAS flowers in it - that need a water source for the flowers, particularly in the summer months - so in addition to the mechanics to make the garland, there are mechanics to keep the flowers fresh during the event and to attach the garlands to the flowers and water source seamlessly.

It has a big depth to it, because of the foliage selected and the addition of flowers.

this is not a cheap centrepiece!

because this is something that is so topical, I am going to cover it again.

This is not a greenery runner - this is a pile of foliage, just laid on the table and it has little depth or shape. And as a result is not as expensive as a proper foliage runner or garland, but it has to be done on site with many hands to lay it out pleasingly in the available time and done with foliage that can cope with being out of water.

If you are happy to work on your wedding day or you have lots of friends and family who can help you on your wedding day, - then this is a good DIY option, but it will look something like the below image- lacking in depth and shape - so if that's what you want - you are good to go. it does take a lot of hands on the day to do this on site. if you hire a professional florist, generally they are 1 or 2 people businesses who don't have a lot of hands, to do this on the day - in additional to the many other things that florists typically do. So they would either need to hire in more staff, or make it as a proper garland that can be made ahead of time and then just placed on the table on site.

it is possibly going to get messed up or lose it's shape if it is done before the tables are fully laid, as there is nothing keeping the twigs in place when crockery, cutlery, condiments and glassware are added to the table. or if someone comes along and wants to add something else to it.
it cannot run off the table, as there is nothing holding it together - so it must end at the end of the table, because it is not a garland.
