The month of August is synonymous with women and within this wonderful industry of ours, it is no different.
"It’s A Rush" will once again host the Ladies Day event on Saturday, 11th August 2018 to be held in the Peninsula Room at Kenilworth Racecourse from 11am.
The duo of Jenny Morris and Dr Darren Green will be entertaining and MC’ing the event, but the afternoon could not be more complete without an appearance from “the most famous woman in South Africa”- Evita Bezuidenhout. Pieter- Dirk Uys, a resident of Darling is well known for his lengthy career as a performer on South Africa’s screens and stages and is also a well known author and social activist.
The highlight of the day is the charity horse auction. A 2 year old horse will be put up for auction where proceeds from the highest bid will be donated to a Charity- Evita’s Crafters.
The Darling Trust Women’s Craft & Skills Development Initiative Evita’s Crafters is a craft and skills initiative in Darling that provides women with the skills, resources and infrastructure to create bespoke needle-craft objects for sale to generate an income for themselves. The mission of the trust is to empower individuals from the Darling community to help themselves, mainly through participation in the sectors of education, skills development and health. Evita’s Crafters has been going since 2012.
