From a sand pit to a pretty and practical garden in a week - Thats what Michelle needed to have her renovated house and garden ready for tenants moving in on Friday, and I took on the challenge not knowing whether we could meet this deadline or not with so many other contractors still doing their thing as well. BUT With a clear plan of action and a hardworking team the box was ticked and the make over happened! Cant wait to see this garden grow....

Subtle pink or Bright and Cheerful Sunshine Yellow - Gazanias are simply the best solution to large bare spaces in coastal arid gardens.These were planted with plenty TLC about 9 months ago and are just flourishing.

So happy to see Lornas garden transforming from a once barren spot into the happy place we visualised a while back for her and little Alex to enjoy. Alex just loves rolling on his new patch of lawn! Still some boxes to tick but giant steps have been taken towards making this into a pretty and practical spot for them to enjoy. Keep an eye on this space,updates will follow for sure.

So excited about my new fairy light stock coming in. Just been down memory lane to see how some previous wedding set ups were made magical and mystical with glittering lights and candles - Fairy lights for Fairy tale weddings!

I have never been a fan of artificial lawn but do acknowledge that it sure has its benefits in waterwise gardening and then realised that its also the ideal way to transform a once drab grey asphalt entrance area into a warm welcoming spot......

Pondered for a while on how to screen my grey water system and refuse bin area which was just an eyesore in my garden. Without the space for nice big shrubs to achieve this I decide to put in this vertical pallet planter which has served the purpose so well and is now starting to provide me with both flowers and herbs while hiding the eyesore that lurks behind. Easy quick fix and would also work so well as a feature on a bare wall...

In November 2017 my best friend looked at me and said "Mom please sort out this sand pit - I need a soft green spot to lie in the sun" . Looking back now I think she got her way - Cant believe how this little garden has taken off!

Diamond Frost.Such a delicate pretty plant.Drought and heat tolerant.Beautiful in hanging baskets too.Just beware the milky sap can cause skin irritations. Ideal wedding decor plant when you prefer plants that live on to flowers that last a few days.
