Summer in Cape Town with this beautiful family ✨

Capetonians spent an unusually large amount of time talking about the weather. So did Barbara and I, in the lead up to her family session. But this evening was absolutely worth the wait.

These days I’m increasingly awed by the absolute madness going on around us, so when something just makes sense, and is so easily and obviously as it should be, I feel relief.

Seeing Robyn & Dodo laughing their way through the start of their forever, reminded me of this. Seeing how many people traveled so far to witness this day, reminded me of this. Seeing these two supported by the largest bridal party ever, reminded me of this. Seeing how love inspires love, and the emotion and elation that decorated the faces of their many guests, reminded me of this.

The one thing that didn’t make sense, is how fields of onions can be so flipping beautiful. But I’ll take it. Perhaps it’s just that these two together make life all the more beautiful.

To Robs and Dodo, and to making sense. What a privilege to be there- thank you for having me. ❤️

Inge & Greg brought their family together from all over the world to celebrate their marriage in an intimate ceremony, on an absolutely wild day in Noordhoek. And it was glorious!

I was amazed these two were willing to brave the elements and head to the beach for some photos, but so thrilled with the results 😁

✨What dreams are made of✨

Katya & Alex… oh my goodness, I’m absolutely blown away! Yesterday was the most picture-perfect flawless magical whimsical wonderful fairytale and I’m struggling to comprehend it all happened.

The perfect blend of real, meaningful authentic moments, and playful, euphoric entertainment. Around every turn, a well thought-out and perfectly executed surprise, as well as incredible food, wine, music, and the setting of a 500 year old monument overlooking the Costa Brava…

Add to this, a large group of friends and family from every corner of the globe, and a couple madly in love, and you’ve got a party of a lifetime.

Over 5 years ago, these two traveled to Cape Town and I was fortunate enough to capture some travel memories for them. Today, we meet again, on the Costa Brava, to capture their wedding memories in a 500 year old convent overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

When life throws you lemons… you know how the saying goes. But when life throws rocks… well, if you’re these two, you postpone your wedding by a year, and gracefully wade through the madness while hoping, praying and trusting in the future.

Today is a day to trust in the future. So too, was this majestic Saturday, where Louise and Bruce finally got to say their vows, and start the beginning of their forever together.

I can’t tell you what a privilege it was to be there. I can’t put into words how inspiring these two are. Congratulations to the Sturrocks! And thank you so much for having me. 🫶🏼

One helluva celebration! One helluva couple. One helluva day. Huge congratulations to Nakita and Luc, on the most beautiful start to their marriage, and orchestrating it all themselves.

These two are blessed with so many parents, and wonderful friends and family who came from all over to celebrate this amazing day with them, and I was so fortunate to be there to capture it! Big love to you both, and your beautiful Twiggy 💫

Celebrating the marriage, a few years after their legal wedding… I just love this as a concept ☺️ The fact that these two were such an absolute treat to work with made it all the more special.

Sarah & Kenny flew all the way from a faraway place I can’t pronounce 🇺🇸 to celebrate with their friends and family, in this magnificent setting. Amazing food, the best company, a jaw-dropping sunset and a night under the stars. Absolute perfection!

So very well done you two. Thank you for having me! ❤️

A very happy morning with beautiful Levi and his lovely folks 💫

It’s so special seeing the how little ones respond to new environments. The excitement on this little mans face when he saw the mountain, and the trees, and the prospect of birds ☺️

I wish we could all retain this kind of excitement in adulthood, imagine how magical daily life would be. I’m going to try and be more like Levi ❤️

They say rain on your wedding day brings good luck… I know two things. These two were seriously blessed! And that they don’t need luck at all… So well matched, so well loved, so well lived. ❤️❤️

Liv & Joost are two of the warmest, loveliest people, and they celebrated their marriage with one helluva party at the beautiful estate.

Having grown up with the soundtrack of Liv & her sisters giggles, it was so special to meet the other voices that have joined this chorus over the years, and to hear that the giggles have just continued 🥰

A Dutch guy and a South African girl met in China and fell in love in the UK… needless to say this party was an international hit! The weather gods sent their best blessings to be enjoyed with frozen margaritas on tap, and a tequila fountain to cap off the night, not to mention the most incredible gees and contagious energy from all of their loved ones!

What a treat to be there. Thank you for having me! ❤️

Another beautiful wedding in the winelands! Sam & Tarryn came down from the UK to celebrate their forever surrounded by their closest family and friends.

It was the most beautiful day in Franschhoek, and an absolute treat to be there.

It’s always so special when it’s a family member marrying you! This was a blessing from Rich’s brother, to two of the best. ❤️

Cath & Rich were teased with a downpour all day long, but nothing could wipe the smile off their faces the day they said their vows.

Having photographed these two at SO.MANY.WEDDINGS over the years, theirs felt like a family reunion of so many wonderful past clients.

What an incredible way to celebrate these two, the end of a year, and the start of another. Thank you both for having me there! ❤️

Monique & Brian flew in from the Netherlands to celebrate their marriage with all of their loved ones, in the most incredible garden party in the seaside town of Rooi Els.

Blessed with perfect weather, the happiest day, and friends and family flown in from all over the world, the elation coming from these two was almost tangible.
