I am a born and bred Capetonian, animal lover, plant hoarder, wine drinker and a photographer. When I am not photographing weddings I like to spend my time taking my dogs for walks in the park, hiking, drinking wine, playing card games and collecting unusual plants. I am also a volunteer wild land firefighter and spend a lot of time during the hot season, on the fire line! I take too many photogr

My photographic journey started in 2006 in high school, and after many years of studying, assisting and second shooting with other photographers, I photographed my first wedding in 2014 and have been madly in love with photographing them ever since. I left my full time job in 2016 and am incredibly lucky to be photographing weddings full time since then. I currently have over 150 weddings under my belt and I still fall madly in love with documenting them every time I photograph one. Having the opportunity to photograph a wedding, is something so so special and something so incredible. Not only is each wedding COMPLETELY unique, I love the whirlwind of emotions and the little moments going on in-between everything. MY FAVOURITE KIND OF MOMENTS ARE THE REAL ONES! Those spontaneous and organic moments are important to me, and that is why I like to take a non-intrusive approach to photographing your wedding day. However, should there be a spot of perfect light that will add an extra level of magic to your photographs, I may ask you to go stand there for some beautiful portrait or couple photographs. My work is about so much more than creating a series of pinterest perfect images. Its about the real-ness of your wedding day. It's about the moments of laughter, and the moments when the emotions become too much. Moments of love, silliness and those moments of complete and utter euphoria. The missed moments and the love shared between two families. I photograph what I see. It is real, raw and 100% honest.

Hi, i'm Lauren and i am the person behind

I have been photographing weddings full time since 2016 and with over 200 weddings under my belt, I still enjoy every single one i photograph.

My approach to weddings is very much no fuss and no frills. I prefer a more natural approach to weddings and enjoy documenting moments as they happen, rather than creating them too much.

When not photographing weddings, you can find me wandering around nurseries and markets with my partner, volunteering with or drinking a glass of wine with our pets.

Bridal Portraits Would you believe me if I told you over 90% of my brides are very nervous about being in front of the camera and warn me that they are the MOST awkward of Pandas?   You would never guess that looking at these bridal portraits, right??   Well, let me let you in on a lil secret… I also HATE being in front of the camera. And when I say I hate it, I really really mean it.  I do believe though, that this weird fear/hatred has leant itself to some sort of bridal portrait super power…   It’s my goal when taking bridal portraits not to only get real gorgeous photographs of you, but also make you feel as beautiful as you are! Whether that is non stop talking, assisting you with posing or just letting you be the fabulous creature that you are.  Every single bride I have worked with has remarked how easy it is being in front of the camera and how they cannot believe that it is them that they are seeing at the back of my camera.   Well, I got you boo… You’re a beautiful, magnificent being!
