Roast vegetable platter.

Roasted yellow and red peppers, zucchini roses, grilled artichokes, a flurry of beetroot sprouts, nasturtium flowers and a creamy lemon tahini dressing with a sprinkle of toasted pumpkin seeds.

Summer season is off to a great start. We have been curating epic menus and producing some delicious food and we have some fun events coming up.

String Beans tossed in Olive oil, Lemon juice and fresh Garlic. As soon as the beans turn brighter in colour they are done. Adding the Garlic and Lemon juice after about 2 minutes is advisable so the garlic does not burn. This timing ensures that the flavours hold together beautifully without any undesirable charring.

We are looking for a source of local eggs from around the Western Cape. Eggs and Chickens that are treated well. Small farms, small holdings, conscious farming practices and conscious consumption. The eggs we have been using came from a farm outside of Cape Town and these have become more hard to come by.

Sout Slaai harvested from the dunes of the Deep South post winters rain. Crisp, sour and salty. These make for a great addition to a ceviche or even a fruit salad.
