As a full time Mama of two beautiful little girls (under two🙃🙌) I am taking a step back from weddings for a bit, rather shifting the focus to where I am in my life;

1. Being a Mama
2.Still a Creative, with a loving need to work with flowers - (drumroll) in comes the new exclusive range of everlasting flower crowns for all your beautiful gatherings
3. An Artist, going back to my roots of making art, exploring, playing and just having fun with it, if and when I have the time.

So join me on this new adventure, while I learn, explore and grow into this layer of my story.

Its been quiet on here for a while with me adjusting to a new season of becoming a Mama! I've had the most amazing, exciting, exhausting, wonderful, beautifiul and precious few weeks with my little Lente! Pappa,
Hierdie man met die harde werkershande, wat sy dogters geleer het van die liefde, van nooit opgee nie, van geel tee drink, van skaapwerk en plaaswerk en trots en glo in jouself.
Wat ons kon toevou in liefde en geraas het net as dit rerig nodig was.
Op wie se skoot ek gesit het tot nou die dag toe nog.
Wat altyd iets gesoek het om sy hande besig te hou.
En wat uit niks uit enige 'kontrepsie' vir my aanmekaar kon slaan.
Pappa se plek is nou leeg.
En ek weet nie wat om met al die seer te maak nie.

My pa het sy stryd teen kanker + covid verloor op 15 Maart 2021.

Ek gaan vir eers nie op sosiale media wees vir die volgende paar weke nie. Ons hele gesin het ook die virus opgedoen en vat dit vir eers rustig.
Ek sal alle navrae/boodskappe beantwoord na ek tyd met my familie spandeer het.

BIG NEWS!
🌿🌷🌱🤰🏻🌱🌷
I know its been quiet around here, but there is a very good reason for it!!!

There's a TINY HUMAN joining our adventure in September and we are OVER the MOON! 🧁🍼

It's been rough the past few weeks with nausea + constantly being tired but I am through the worst of it now and I am feeling MUCH better!

I've always wanted to be a Mama, so I am so looking forward to this journey!

I also recognize and understand that pregnancy is not always as easy and wonderful as the world makes it out to be. So if you are someone who has been struggling on your own pregnancy journey for a long time, I hope this post doesn't hurt but rather brings hope that your time will be the perfect time. ❤

With a new year comes new plans, fresh ideas and renewed creativity.

EVERY YEAR I create a visual board planning and brainstorming all my ideas for LadyBloom. And usually by this time the visual board is up. 🙈

Last year was a tough one, we did the best with the cards that were dealt and I had to set aside many plans. We had the big move to the farm and along the way I found myself in autopilot, just trying to survive and wanting the year to end, like most.

Now with what is currently going on with the second wave, it is easy to fall into a hole of worry.

Will it even be worth it to make plans again?
Should I bother?

AND THEN , the inner POSITIVE and DREAMER kicked in.
In 2020, we all just did the BEST we could and we will do it again and again and again.

I AM taking out the color pencils and visuals this weekend.
I AM MAKING A DREAMBOARD because nothing can stop us from putting our thoughts, CREATIVITY and PLANS on paper.
DREAMS cannot be put on hold.
You keep on dreaming because eventually even if it is 3 years from now, if you put in the work and believe, that dream will be your reality.

So for 2021 my mantra is(which I can't take credit for its from an unknown source) and I will leave you with this;
I am whole
I am learning
I am letting go of negativity and people that embrace it.
I am free
I am talented
I am courageous
I am protecting inner joy
I am brave
I am healing
I am loving myself unapologetically

And so should you flowerlovers. ✨🤗🦄🌿🌻🐥🐝🌺🌷✨

Oukersdag 2020.
Doodmoeg maar Gelukkig

Ek lê vanoggend in ons bed in 'n woonstel in Plattekloof.

Jana het die virus opgedoen en is in self isolasie vir Kersfees in Stellenbosch en ons het besluit om eerder ook te self isoleer vir 'n paar dae aangesien beide ons ouerpare hoë risiko gevalle is en ons in kontak was met groot groepe mense(by die troues)
Die gevolg;
Hierdie jaar is dit net ek en Alwie vir Kersfees.
Ons het gister by die woonstel gekom, hier is nie 'n Kersboom, of 'n liggie of 'n kerskous op nie. (Alles is op die plaas! 😂)

Ek verlang na my ma se vrugtekoek en my oggend koffie op die stoep waar ek kyk hoe die wind tussen die bloekomblare dans. Ek verlang na die kombuis waar daar op Oukersdag van vroegoggend af geskarrel en gelag word!
Maar
🌱 Ons het 4 suksesvolle troues die afgelope 3 weke agter die rug, na 'n jaar waar trou nie 'n maklike taak was nie.
🌱 Jana raak nog moeg maar sy is ok.
🌱 My voete en hande is seer van die aanhoudende fisiese werk maar ek het al my ledemate en is nog gesond.
🌱 My man is 'n rots.
Hy het ingespring soos 'n champ toe Jana (wat gewoonlik assistent 1 is) siek raak.
🌱 Ons het die finansiële kapasiteit om kos te kan koop en in oorvloed (woollies melktert en vars bessies en cherries en gammon wat ek gaan probeer gaarmaak soos my ma!) terwyl daar mense is wat wonder wat hulle gaan eet vandag.

Om op te som vir die wat nie die hele storie wou lees nie.
Ons is in self isolasie vir Kersfees, gesond, ons het 'n plek om te slaap, sonder 'n kersboom of liggies, 'n 2 man partytjie wat vandag 'n gammon gaan aandurf.
Doodmoeg maar Gelukkig.
