I absolutely love working at this Venue. You can take pictures at the venue, have your Nikkah at the venue, it’s ideal for intimate Weddings and events.

We had so much fun in The Makers Landing Demo Kitchen with The Young Women in Hospitality from The Amy Biehl Foundation. I shared my Butter Chicken & Naan Recipes with them as well my Milk Tart Recipe for dessert. These simple recipes will equip them with the skills and confidence to start their own small businesses. This was such a rewarding experience for all of us and it’s all thanks to Cape Town Tourism.

Mushroom and Caramelised Onion Galette with Rocket, fig, Roasted Hazelnuts and Goats Cheese salad

Slow Braised Deboned Lamb Shank with Turkish Apricot and Onion Relish and Roasting Sauce

I attended the Launch of The Halaal Association of South Africa held at The Capetonian Hotel hosted by founder Fairuz Holliday-October. At my table a collective wealth of Tourism Knowledge included Ashleigh Campbell from ANEW Hotels, Esa Yacoob from Yacoob Yachts, Fuad from I AM Cape Town and Henry from Cape Town Tourism. Also representatives from the Indonesian and Malaysian Ministries, Hyatt Hotels and Thompson Travel to name but a few. The aim is to tap into the 200 Billion Rand Halaal Tourism market welcoming International Muslim Travelers to a Country that prioritizes Halaal food, Prayer Facilities and proper Ablution Facilities in order to make their stay as Comfortable and memorable as possible.

The most challenging part about being a Private Chef is working in a different kitchen every time. Is there enough surface workspace and is it a gas or electric oven? Freezer space, Dry Store and Fridge space. In the end, it doesn't really matter because I make it work. The challenge is indeed all part of the FUN♥️
