KANAK, an Indo-African fusion ensemble led by (India), (South Africa), and (South Africa). This performance falls within their international residency in Cape Town, where they will explore the intersections of Cape Jazz, Carnatic music, and African traditional music. Expect a rich tapestry of sound as they weave together musical traditions from India and South Africa.
About Vishnu R:
Vishnu R is a pioneering Indian musician, inventor of the unique 9-string Navtar instrument, and a OneBeat Virtual 2 alumnus. His mastery of Indian Ragas and Western harmony has earned him international acclaim, including collaborations with Grammy winners Snarky Puppy and Angelique Kidjo.
